Keep it Alive in 2025

Above all I’d love a Cooper but I don’t think they’re at capacity for that yet.

GEC id like to see a 16.

A case or buck would be nice also.

I’d honestly buy anything just to be part of the club as long as it’s nothing too expensive.

I’m only ever honest so I’d add.

Respectfully, I ask that it is made available for internationals at pre order. I contribute both financially along with my time and content to the forum so I think it’s only fair I get treated the same as my American brethren.
That was the nail in coffin for the 24 knife in my books. Having to pay the extra $ because I was barred from ordering early was the tipping point for opting out.

Adding on an estimate for shipping based off what I generally pay, this is what the 24 came out at. If I pay FF add a PP fee of $6 on to that. Too rich for a knife I wasn’t mad on.

As always, I'm hoping for a Whaler. I don't think it will ever happen, but I can keep hoping.

I would be very open to either a lower cost option like an Opinel or Victorinox, or to an entirely pre-ordered knife so that Spark doesn't have to worry about carrying any extra stock.

I would like that the design of the annual knife got back into the hands of the BF members. Usually it ends with some of GECs finest work.

100% this
The '24 left a foul Orwellian taste in the mouth on many non-American BF members.

Laquiole?

I'd candidly be out if that happened.

The days wherein we get to pick all of the atributes of our knife seem to be years behind us at this juncture. These days, it appears to be primarily what Bill offers to build for us.

If that's the case, I'd ask Bill to make something that's simple and that he's probably planning on building anyway. Something like a Black Diamond Richlite Bullnose.

I get that Bill picks the pattern. I'd just like the forum to come together over the rest IE bolster, scales, nail nick etc.
No, you’ve misunderstood me. Bill seems to pick all of the attributes in addition to the frame. The last few BF knives we’ve had have been presented as “This is what it’s going to be, here’s a render.” So, as I said above, the days of us taking months and dozens of pages across several threads debating back and forth and staging a bunch of polls is over.

It’s bears mentioning that I’d like to be wrong.
