I would die for that Ivory Sway. Better get on the list. Zowie Wowie, I do love Ivory. Nice posts.

As some of you guys may know I have been sequestering myself in my shop more and more as I try and get ready for my first Blade show.(knife not available) Here is one I finished up today and its a handful! 5 1/4 inch swell center hunter,aka,cokebottle,aka fiddleback aka "Montana Teaser". I use the Montana Teaser name as this is my rendition of a vintage Ulster with the same name. This knife comes in at 5 5/8 ounces:eek: This is one of my favorite large patterns and by the far , for me at least, the most labor intensive. I think only the Locking Arkansas Hunter I made for Charlie took more time.

Thanks for taking the time to look , comments on past posts and as always, comments welcome.

That Colt Woodsman, and that knife;

Charlie,
Well, hope to see you in Atlanta this June! ;)

I used my Woodsman as a prop for this knife as I think the two go well together. When I made the shift from gunsmithing to knives I always thought, now if I can build a knife like Colt could make the Woodsman, I will do ok. To me the Woodsman's signaled to me what was right about this Country and our ability to make nice things.

What a great knife and pistol. Almost brings a tear to my eye. Awesome. That shot of the swedge and pull says a whole lot and I already know it is smooth as silk.

Ken, this knife looks perfect to me in EVERY respect. Not one aspect of design or execution could be improved upon.
And what a perfectly matched and gorgeous set of scales!?! Stag for the gods.

Great grindage on the blade, and that one took some large pieces of stag. Thanks for showing it Ken. You Teaser, you.

What a big, strapping, handful of beauty that one is Ken. When I saw it sitting on that piece of slate that looks almost like the forest floor my first thought was hunter/gatherer. A tool to see you through almost anything. A very fine looking knife Ken, congratulations.

Could not agree with you more about the Colt. I have had a Match Target for many years that I still get out once in awhile and marvel at the workmanship. I still have not managed to break the ears off the scales!

Very cool knife, Ken. I know you put a lot of blood and sweat into that one!!! :thumbup::cool:

Ken,

You mentioned earlier that you were having difficulties getting quality pieces of stag. It sure doesn't look that way on this one! Very nice.
