Please be advised, Ken Onion's knives were all stolen from his luggage
enroute to the Plaza Cutlery knife show. His routing took him from Honolulu
to SF then down to Huntington Beach. Each knife is one of a kind, and when
they surface there will be no doubt if they were one of the knives that was
stolen. Please help us keep an eye out for the knives. I've attatched 2
pictures that Jeff took the night before Ken left. It's the only photo of
all the knives together.

Please help spread the word within our community, especially so the
purveyors can keep a lookout, although I suppose the theif had no idea was
he/she has.

Thanks.

Always sad to hear news like this. Ken's knives have been a love of mine for a while. I have an onion, leek and a specbump and I'd love to get a hold of a custom at some point. Solid and sexy knives.

Damn...those are some beautiful knives....what sucks is that some homeless dude is gonna sell them to some dude on the street for like $5 so he can buy some beer and smokes.

I hope those don't end up at some pawn shop somewhere... :(

That SUCKS! Sorry Ken!

Have Airport security investigate the baggage handlers. Maybe one of them know who Ken Onion is and saw an opportunity? Wouldn't it be sweet to see the idiot list them on EBAY???

I hope they don't end up in evidence locker after being used as items in armed robberies

That is horrible that some stole Mr. Onion's knives!! My God!! I hope that the knives are found, and the scoudral is caught!! (And then drawn and quartered!!)

Great Point!

I hope I find the person who stole them! Then I'll auction him off to the highest bidder here! :D

Ken Onion makes some beautiful knives. How does someone buy a Ken Onion custom knife? His website is down.

Thats horrible...Such beautiful knives and some peice of crap has them probably without even knowing what he has. Hope the dirt bag is caught and the knives returned. I used to check my knives but ive learned after some stories here and else where that its worth just shipping them UPS insured. I'll definiteley keep an eye out.

Beautiful knives and so much time and effort into making them. What a shame. I hope they find their way back to Ken.

Dude, that is just not right! I'm guessing they represent a pretty good outlay of cash to make 'em too! Outta curiosity, what airline?

Either way, I know what some airport worker's family is getting for christmas. I just hope they're dumb enough to show up somewhere like Plaza Cutlery or some other savvy/reputable dealer and try to pawn them off.

Can someone post the route that the plane took??? What airports it stopped off in. Then some of the guys can put feelers out to their local pawn shops, and knife stores with a print out of this pic.

I'm guessing the knives wouldn't leave town too readily, but watch for the EBAY crap where someone lists the knife being on the other side of the planet.... If anyone sees one of these knives they should try and find out a phone number to contact them at and then do a lookup of the number and see where it's location is. Also may be able to pinpoint a thief. Be much easier to alert the authorities in case of such an event.

BTW, those are some awesome looking knives...

Sorry to hear about it.

I hope they catch who did it! You can not trust anyone any more. Please let us know if they get caught. Sorry Ken. Kevin

You would not have to know Ken Onion or anything about knives to know that those are valuable. That is such a shame. Those knives probably represent untold hours of effort. Not to mention the planned income from their sale.

I hope a speedy capture is made of the offender, with a complete safe return of the knives.

I looked at the pictures again, and assuming that each of those is a one of a kind, hand made by Ken, I would say there is over $150,000.00 that was stolen.

It quite possibly may have been a planned heist.

I'd be more inclined to think he was another victim of an unscroupulous TSA agent.Hope he can get some reimbursement. Sorry Ken. Dave:( :thumbdn:

Some scumsucker got a great collection that won't be appreciated for anything more than the money that can be made selling them. Makes me sick.

I will definitely keep an eye out.

..........Thieves SUCK! Nothing like investing your time and money on something, only to have some jackel come and take it all away without a second thought.
