KEN44 realiable?

I work in tool & die and whenever we get a new guy in the shop I eventually get an opportunity to send him off to the foreman looking for one of our "aluminum magnets"...

Sometimes when an apprentice wants to know how to tell the difference between cold rolled and hot rolled steel, the "best way" to tell is that hot rolled steel is actually... "salty" ...and all you gotta do is lick it to find out for sure. Nothing like getting the new guy to lick a piece of steel while brwosing the stock shelf!

I haven't laughed this hard in LONG TIME!!!!!

I kept thinking about this at work today. Couldn't wait to get back and check and it's even better the 2nd time around.

ROTFLMAO!!

BG I believe you where just Babtized young man. Pretty good stuff.

I think you have Hog potential!

You mght want to hold on to the EDC's. Not as cool as a BM but will probably get more use.

Die Hard Hog:cool:

The "aluminum magnets" was good, but the 'salty' hot rolled got me laughing enough to make my wife ask what I was looking at.

I'm a scientist, man!

You should send it to me. I've already offered my professional services to another Hog in a similar sad situation.

P.S. Ken44 is as reliable as any Hog can be! Trust him with anything ... except your INFI.

Pffft, you are a theoretical physicist. He clearly had a problem related to the coating on his knife. Thats my field. He should have sent it to me.

Any Navy vets here? Believe it or not, we got a kid to station the "mail buoy" watch on my destroyer. We left him out there for about 20 minutes before the Captain took pity on him and clued him in.

Rick

He may have thought that he was to watch out for the "Male Boy" Gotta watch out for those Navy guys.

Die Hard Hog

thats very rensuring thx :)

I'm beginning to think Ken may not be reliable. :p

I was inducted on the Kitty as well (1995). Going through as a Jarhead was even worse IMO.

During the cruise where I "crossed the line", I also served as defense council for one of my sailors during his initiation as a Chief (Enterprise 89-90 World Cruise). (For you non-navy types, this is a significant milestone within the enlisted ranks.) That was much worse than the Shellback thing. We had two marine gunnys who went through at the same time and they caught MUCH worse from the court.

I did it again the next year, but ashore. Truth serum sucks, but it is much easier to stand when you are drunk.

Uh-uh! I was trained as a theoretician in my youth ... but rapidly graduated to become an experimentallist. :)

I've been blasting stuff with elementary particles and photons for ... well, a very, very long time. I could have gotten to the 'heart' of the matter. :D

Perhaps we should have collaborated on his problem.

He clearly felt existential angst about the coating on his knife. While that's not exactly my field, I could have examined the knife and told him to suck it up.

:p

Well he's only 14 but if he had high enough income and let me see the knife I think I could get him a "coating" deduction on his 1040:thumbup:

Or on the down side he could get 2-5 years in the pen and some penalties. But heck he'd be out before he was 20.
