as they move down the back stretch and toward the far turn, John Prester continues to lead the pack, with Black Mamba, r8shell, and Mb> not far behind !

Fodderwing in 5th place, just ahead of 5K Q's on the rail, but, moving up quickly !

they are coming around the far turn and Will Power takes the lead !

 

[Primble]

and they are in the home stretch, with 5K Q's coming up the rail, but wait, Old Engineer closing in on Will Power on the outside in a burst of speed, r8shell on his heels !

 

[Primble]

as they close on the finish line, Old engineer blasts past Will Power, with r8shell still on his heels. 5K Q's has gotten trapped on the rail by Black mamba. John Prester moves past the two on the rail.
Nature boy gallops past 5K Q's and black mamba, as they were fighting for the rail.

as they come to the finish line, Old Engineer has streaked past them all and opened a 3 length lead, with r8shell neck and neck beside him, ...................... followed by Will Power, John Prester, Black mamba, and Nature Boy.

and there you have it folks ............................................. Old Engineer has won the 148th running of the Kentucky Derby GAW classic !
