Kentucky Derby 148 - the Run for the Roses Mystery GAW

I have captured all of the entries and the thread can resume. Any comments or posts are now welcomed ! 😊

We had no Trifecta winner.
We had no 1st place Derby winner.
We had quite a few pick some of the top three though and I will be posting those later.

P.S. - I wouldn't want to get around that Rich Strike - afraid he might bite me ! 🤣
 
OK - I have been completely through the thread giving credit where credit is due and I gave myself a lot more work than I should have. There will be some here that earned the maximum 5 chances in the draw tomorrow. I still have to go through the most popular thread and see how many posted there in the past three days. I will first announce how many chances that you members earned for yourself. Hopefully I will get all the names ready for the bucket tomorrow and make the draws and announce the winners. Don't forget to come back for updates ! 😊

Repeating the final rules for winning:

1. All draws from the horses bucket will follow the actual Derby. I need time to be sure I have it all right and give each one of you the draws you earned. The actual draw will likely be tomorrow and will be posted here.

2. You can earn as many as five chances or draws, but, no more than five draws. There are scenarios where some could earn more than five, but, five is the limit.

3. If any or your horse picks are in the top three finishers today, it only earns you chances or draws, not a knife. The correct order of finish does not matter, except if we have a Trifecta winner.

4. There is one exception to rule 3. and that is, assuming you are in complete compliance with the rules thus far and stated from page 1, have posted at least one group photo of your knives, and you win the Trifecta with your horse pics, you will be awarded the knife of your choice. No drawing necessary for this scenario. To win the Trifecta, the three horses you picked have to place in the top three and in the correct order.

5. If you win the Trifecta and did not post a group photo, you will be given two draws from the horse bucket. Three minus one penalty, if you will.

6. If you called the winner correctly, you will earn two chances in the bucket.

7. If any of your horses finish in the top three, in any order, you will earn an additional chance in the bucket.

8. You must have the fifty posts in the Traditionals forum, as previously requested on page one. I will only check that after the draws have been made.

9. You can only win one knife from this GAW. If you win one, you are eliminated from the other two draws.

Mystery Bonus Chances: 🍀🍀

If you posted at least one group photo of you knives with your entry, you earned one chance in the bucket. 🍀

If you posted more than one group photo of your knives, you earned another chance. 🍀

If you posted five or more group photos in this thread and before this posting, you earned another chance. 🍀

If you have posted in the What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today? thread in the past three days, you earned another chance in the bucket. 🍀

If you posted in the Stag Saturday - Let's See Some Traditional Stag! thread in the past three weeks, you earned another chance in the bucket. 🍀

You have until 6:00 p.m. E.S.T. to make adjustments.

of course you could always make yourself one, but, copy catin' might get you in trouble with just about everyone ! :mad::mad:

Maybe a Hard Heads Barlow with a Sheep foot ? 😲🤣🤣........................ with an upside down fish bolster stamp. 🤣

better yet, could you make me an Elijah Barlow with a Cat head bolster stamp and an etch on the blade with a Maine Coon trying to head butt me out of bed ? I would pay cash. ;)☺️

ACE GAW with a lot of twists & turns, we need excitement like this :) but I'm not sure I'm up to the mental hurdles...ah no fences in this race, it was a flat.

Flushed us all out better than a Gamblers Anon meeting o_O:D

We are all of course waiting for a doping report.... ;).80:1 is some handsome odds. Most of all, well done to all the horses who took part, magnificent animals.

I really did miss out by not being around at that time and I have nobody to blame but myself. ;)

Ohh I sure hope no disqualifications Will, but, I do confess the thoughts ran through my head during the post race.
It did seem the winner was all amped up, but, I have seen some act up quite a bit in past years. The breed is known for being quite a bit feisty.

For the purposes of this GAW, assuming no disqualifications have been announced officially before I make the draws, then the original order of finish will have to stand. Nobody here was out any money on the venture. Sometimes disqualifications and litigation take a long time.
