I am seriously considering the Lon Humphrey Kephart in 3v. 4 1/2" blade
It ain't cheap up here in Canada , like 320
I know Lon does the blade , but not sure if it's assembled by BR or him. Anyone know?

It's all Lon. He has a FB group, and he interacts with members regularly.

I believe that Kephart was doing a little bit of sales by putting the Marbles knife in his book. I'm pretty sure he carried the Colclesser that he designed.
Thanks SHS. Another piece of the puzzle.
I just sold my ML Knives Kephart. I still have my custom, one-of-a-kind, in green canvas micarta and 3V. While not an exact replica, it does have some characteristics. I also have another custom on order. (3 long months now) I hope to get it in March or April.

Went ahead and pulled the trigger on the BK62. Fellow forumite @Captain Airyca made a great video review on it. You can see it here: https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/bk62-video-review.1643745/

If I like it as much as I think I'll like it, I could always commission a custom one in a more rust-resistant steel. That is, if it does rust. I'll try to put a nice patina on it by using it in the kitchen first.

Is using it in the kitchen considered a forced patina? I've got a GEC in carbon steel that I've been cutting up fruit with and it looks sweet. Apples, pears, avocados, oranges....just basically using it.

That is just using a knife. GEC 1095's are great little slicers. A forced patina is one where you chemically try to impart a patina coating on a blade and usually try to patina the entire blade all at once.

Yeah, to be clear, I wasn't planning on doing anything special with chemicals, just put it near the kitchen for the first month or two to build up a patina the natural way. Mostly because I am lazy and this takes the least effort. :)

Good looking 6 foot tall gal who likes knives? Zoinks!!!!!:D

Don't have the BK. I am a "roll your own" kind of guy. :D
