Kerry Hampton Knives

Don't worry, I'm on it.

I called my contact at the local P.O. and they told me that if for some reason it shows up at the P.O. tomorrow (during the holiday) they'd try to have someone call me so I could go by and pick it up.
Not likely but worth a shot. :D

Do you still have your badge from when you were a LEO? You could try to let the janitors let you in to search the place. ;)

Yeah, the Postal Inspectors would really appreciate that.

(And I sure hope the package would be waiting for me when I got out of stir...:p)

Oh, I was way done with that update before lunch...:p
(And I go right to the source for the updated info. ;))

Hopefully they won't put it in a parcel box with a busted lock.

I had a package the other day I picked up after the window closed. I could hear someone puttering around inside so I used my cell phone to call. When they ran by to answer the phone I yelled at him through my post office box. First he said I wasn't using the key right. I offered to break it off in the lock with my Leatherman but he went and got the master lock key and finally got my package out of stir. Would have been simpler to get it out and hand it to me or put it in a different box and slide me the key through the P.O. Box but no...

Gee, listen to me rant. I did get my package after all.

Apologees for thread drift and here's hoping you do get a call today!

Well, I've done it to myself now. :(

Folks, never, ever, look back to see how long it took from getting on the list the first time to getting your first knife in hand and then checking to see how long it might be before your name surfaces again...

I haven't even had my pride and joy for a year yet... ;)

Keep posting your new Hampton knives. Help me get through the waiting period before I come to the top again. :D

I'm going to try to put this as honestly as I can without allowing personal feelings to cloud my judgment...

...In discussing this knife with Kerry via email and telephone I was fully prepared for and expected to see the progress he has made as a maker since my first of his knives (Lanny's Clip) and the knives owned by others I have been fortunate enough to see in person at the past few Blade Shows.

What I probably wasn't fully prepared for was to receive a knife with a level of fit and finish commensurate with the upper echelon of the custom knife pantheon.

There are few makers who could make this (difficult) pattern as well. Fewer still that could improve upon it. (It's that good.)

I haven't personally seen all of Kerry's recent work (excluding the images) but judging by what I now hold in my hand I have no problem saying that this is a maker hitting on all cylinders and who has come into his own.

Kerry, you done good, son.:thumbup:

I provide way too much entertainment for Tony to do that.:)

I was happy to make that one because it's a sweet old pattern. Glad you like it, Elliott.

Stunning knife ( even though it looks like a trapper with the blades put on backwards - :p ).

Superb work, Kerry.

Thanks, guys. The knife is a delight and carries very nicely at 2 5/8 ounces.
I really couldn't be more pleased with this and I hope that we will see a resurgence in the popularity of this classic pattern (much like the dogleg is experiencing).:thumbup:
