Kerry Hampton Knives

Awesome Kerry! The polish on the shield is so insane it almost looks fake.

Thanks for noticing. Speaking of "insane", polishing anything to 6000 grit can make you go there. ;)

Thanks for all the positive comments, fellas.

That's a fantastic looking little swayback Kerry. I'm sure the new owner will appreciate it.

I'm not a fan of stag, but this swayback jack is really beautiful Kerry.
One of the things I really like in your knives is design. I never handled any of them, so I can't speak about other details (I assume they're excellent too, from the comments you get here on BF). But the lines of your knives are really among my very favourites among all knifemakers who challenge themselves on American traditional patterns. At least of the ones I know of..
The shape of this handle looks awesome to me. Not too slender, not wide, smooth curve...just fine.
And I love the curve on your wharncliff blades too.

Fausto

Gone for over two months and this is ALL you can come up with..... Come on! HeHeHee :D

Seriously though Kerry, it looks great man. ;) You're too cool!

Does this thing still work? :p

That Swayback is a grand slam! I'd be smiling from ear to ear if that was headed my way!:thumbup:

WOW!!! That one made my heart rate to go up for a bit! (it really did feel like it)

Great work Kerry, and a huge congrats to the new owner:thumbup:

Downright beautiful Kerry!
When you polished that shield, did you shape it with a "crowned" or convex face?
It would be a nice way of getting a smoother look/fit on stag. Usually there are proud edges, and convexing would soften them up. Whudda ya think?

I ScotchBrite the shield corners and edges before beginning sanding/polishing by hand. No hot spots on this one.

Kerry,

You really should make a T shirt to sell on your website with that logo. I would buy a few. I cannot afford your knife, but I can buy a t shirt, so I can at least be a KnifeHead poser. LOL

I know this, that knife is going to look even better after a year or two!

Can't say that about most things.:D

I am now proud owner of KHnutbuster #2! My first KH knife :) Pics coming later tonight. So stoked!

Congrats on the new KH pepe! Kerry that sway back just makes me smile. Great looking work.

Didya'll see how sharply cut those swedges are. Oh momma they look nice.

I got an email from Kerry this morning and I'm going to be having a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS! :D

Either Kerry or I will post some pictures later.

Had to knock the cobwebs down in this thread before I could post stuff :D

For your chicken-eyecandied pleasure I submit TWO prototypes.... a 4" KopperHead ZS in T.Bose dyed Case Peachseed Bone and a 4" KopperHead BP Clip in mystery crimson bone. Both are made of 154CM .105" thick stock and hollow ground on a 20" contact wheel. No sole authorship here...I just make knives and a lot of dust. :p
