I'm not a puss fellasIt wasn't necessarily the snap or the stiffness. You have just a wee tiny bit of room to get your nail into that long pull on the master blade. If my nails were cut a little short, I couldn't open it. Not to mention when I was in the woods and my hands were waterlogged...fingernail would just bend back. But that's how we wanted the pattern. Reese had made a similar knife in the past but put the wharncliffe on the pile side with opposing nail nicks. It was easier to get to the blades, but neither of us thought it had the same look as the TJ.
This one is pretty easy to get to plus about the same load on the spring as yours after the redo. Reese's was basically a Jumbo Wharncliffe Trapper. Not pluggin...just showinhttp://www.ebosshoss.com/tradeknives/bose/reese-bose-2-blade-lannys-clip-no-2-1099
Tony and Reese like it too. The frame is a natural for a jack pattern, although it is a beefy one.No offense to Reese, but I prefer the one that you and Campbell designed.

I just came back to look at the T.J. again. I wouldn't have thought it possible, but it looks even better ! I've gone from wanting to own this knife to now needing one. Like, I REALLY NEED a knife just like this. Really !
Kerry, i'd like to bribe you; maybe an elk hunt in the Purcell Mountains ? or a furry playful Mountain Beaver adventure ?
or, just name it. I need a knife like this one; black, gray & silver, with Saber ground wicked Clip, Pen secondary . Please.
