Kerry Hampton Knives

I must comment as well. Wow

Probably stretched 1/32" when you stamped it!:D
I'm curious Kerry, did you stamp it with one hammer strike??? It looks nice and clean in the pictures. I remember doodling a similar stamp some years back, trying to talk Tony into stamping Barlow Bolsters! Nice choice! It has a nice "ring" and appearance!

Those are good questions, Charlie, and to be real honest I meant to put the stamp on the "correct" way but they ended up the way they are. When I was going through Tony's old Barlows for reference, most of the Barlows are stamped so that you can read correctly when sitting on the back spring. I think I only saw one of Tony's that was stamped "upside down" like mine.

The knife is Tony's standard Barlow pattern...3 3/8" This one is about a 1/32" longer but I'm not counting that part. :p

That's really sweet!! I like everything about it including the upside down bolster stamp. That's a great looking knife!!

I smacked both pieces 4 or 5 times. It's a big stamp and takes quite a lot of force to make it deep enough.

Nice job! It looks just great!! I have a modest Barlow collection, and the crowning pieces are the nicely stamped ones. They give a person bragging rights on the courthouse steps!

Not to scare you into putting my name at the bottom of the list but when it comes up, I'll be requesting you do the stamps on my Barlow exactly like you've done them on this one. Being a lefty I think it's just about perfect. I'd like the whole knife to be just a scootch or two larger though.

Every year I swear I will NOT be making knives at the last minute to take to the Blade Show. This year, I met my goal and finished a whole DAY before I have to leave. YAY!

Anyway, here is the last one that I am taking to Blade...it's a delivery, actually. This is the 3rd in the KopperHead series of prototypes, this one being the Wharncliffe version. BTW, all of my knives are gone before I get to the show so I recon that means I am not a dirty, stinkin, lowdown, brown bagger this year. :p

Have a great and safe trip. See ya tomorrow evening if not before.

I love the wharncliffe KopperHead Kerry (I'm guessing the Morrow will be really happy). I carry my Zulu KH two or three days a week and love it.

To bad my work blew up at the last minute and I couldn't make the trip. First time in a long time I won't be down there......

You guessed right! What gave it away? hehehehehe. :p

I somehow managed to pick this one up through the fog that was Blade this year. As expected, Kerry did an outstanding job on this knife. I was blown away when I opened the pouch and saw it in person.

Congrats Morrow. Gorgeous blade.

Kerry, that is the first time a Barlow has made my look twice. Fantastic job on that one.
