Kerry Hampton Knives

Just think it's sad that your thread was all the way back on page 7 so I thought I would bump it back up front

Orange Crush is still my favorite little buddy

Remember this on the way home from Blade???

Good to see the newlywed bliss has worn off and Kerry's back to making a few knives again. :)

I live about 35 minutes farther North of Wilfred than I used to so it takes a little bit longer to make knives. That said, I'm still able to crank something out now and then like this oddly brown stag 3 1/2" English Teardrop (just like the new Case TB pattern). It is oddly brown because I felt it necessary to warm up the butt-white color of the stag and the darn stuff took the dye like it was a sponge. Like Tony says, we don't put on a cape and mask when we go into the shop. Sometimes youknowwhat happens and sometimes it's bad and sometimes it's good.

Kerry,

Beautiful Brown Baby alright! Love the booster treatment also, terrific job all the way around...

Even though it's "oddly brown" it's a fine looking knife, Kerry! I favor the teardrop pattern with the Wharncliffe blade myself. Very nice!

I'm not sure I want to know what color "butt white" is, but it looks great this way. You should have told us that's exactly what you meant to do. Cool knife.

What a classy frame. Well executed Kerry!
The brown stag is a bit odd, but it looks good.
I hope Case puts a Wharncliffe in theirs. I'd be in the market for that for sure.

Amazing knife Kerry ,beautiful

I'm lucky enough to grab this dogleg. Mine! All mine. I remember buying my first knife from Kerry several years back (5 or 6) at blade. My favorite orange knutbuster. I'm just as excited about this one.

Wow that's a beauty, Campbell. I love that stag! Nice one, Kerry.

That's a great looking teardrop Kerry. Is it just the lighting or is it showing up blue in the valleys? Either way, it looks really good.

Great looking dogleg Campbell!!

I would positively say that the stained stag ended up in the good, no . . wait, fantastic camp!

Sure would like to know what kind of dye that was. (probably a trade secret, however, at the same time, envisioning a few of my stag knives jumping off the shelf and into the bucket for a bath) :D

I believe a few, if not more, of the old timey manufacturers used to stain or dye their stag too.

At any rate, you, once again, produced a very beautiful knife sir. ;)

I believe I do too. It just works with that teardrop shaped handle and the W blade is hard to beat for everyday use.
