Kerry Hampton Knives

Hey Campbell and Jim, I don’t know what Blade show you two were at this year, but Kerry is not always the cute and cuddly guy he appears to be.

When our bar waitress asked him if he wanted another Roy Rogers with a shot of Patron back Kerry said “You mess with the Red Rooster again you’ll get the @*# beak!” I have no idea what that means, but the cold, hard way he said it, along with that dead fish eye look, gave me the creeps.

Then the next minute he was doing hand puppets on the bar room wall and singing “Little Bunny Foo Foo” at the top of his lungs.

And Jim, 2010? 2010! Kerry asked me what the name of my son was just in case I’m not around when he finishes my next knife.

You fellers just keep right on asking him when your knives will be done.

I’ll be watchin’ and waitin’ out in the sagebrush... Eating cold pork and beans straight from the can and washin ‘em down with Chicken in a Biscuit crackers.

Dead Fish Eye....Priceless!
Stupid me I didnt know Kerry Had a List

You gonna do somethin' or just stand there and bleed?"

I kinda interpret this look as "This knifemaker routine is tuff, how the heck am I gonna keep up with it all " :)

Nah,just bustin' your chops Kerry Keep it up ,and coming, too.
Come to think of it,there may be a Hampton or two in Mississippi ,that were not posted,to.I heard, one was involved in a slashing,of a man,too

Oh man! Nobody told you guys? I stopped making knives a month ago and started making giant bead necklaces. I already have a 2 year backlog but for you guys I will put you all at the head of my list. Please don't go running off the Beadsforum.com and rat me out. Thanks.

I am still waiting on the snow in Alabama, but sometimes we never get any at all. Could be a LONG wait, now that you have a two year backlog of bead business, not counting the other business I know you are running on the side.:D

Those beads are a little too shiny for my taste. I prefer a belt finish;).

do we have to show our breasts to get em?

PLEASE NO!

But just in case anyone is taking me seriously, I thought it necessary to post some nekkid blades and springs that's currently on the bench that will soon become knives. SOON because I had an exciting mishap with a red Kenworth last Monday(can you say "$500 Deductable") that ended up with me being pushed sideways up a dang overpass like a I was in a Tonka toy!

FYI...I would recommend a Mitsubishi Endeavor to anyone looking for a sturdy side impact worthy vehicle. It held up well and I was able to enjoy the view of the semi's grill as it delightfully danced around inches away from my drivers side window while pushing me sideways up the dang overpass.

Here's what I'm working on.... From top to bottom, 3.5" Wharncliffe Trapper set(pre-heat treat), 4" BP droppoint, Khnutbusters #5 and #6, and a 3 1/4" Ladies swayback.

Kerry are you really OK? Was Danna in car with you? I hope all is well with family and you are back to making those beads, so you can, get on with that side business. Enjoy seeing the in progress pictures, please keep them coming.
Jim

Glad you're OK. Now you can go buy a Ford truck. I'll bet anything you were in one of your "moods" and were playing chicken with that semi.

In a departure from part-time knifemaking and occasional (girly) beadwork, Hampton Industries announced today that it was making a foray into protective drivewear and would be working in concert with Michelin on a new line of protective suits:

Great knife, I wish I had been the first to get a Margarita, but was not. I felt fortunate to get #2 maroon one though. Shame it has material I gave him on it and I don't even have one of them. :grumpy:

BTW: It is a secret, don't tell anyone, I arranged for some free snow to be sent to Kerry a while back and am expecting sometime in distant future two knives with Beautiful Old Elephant Ivory that the Dawg himself cut and helped Kerry with. Can't Wait.:D:D
