Kerry Hampton Knives

We sure did have a good time running around with Jerry at Blade last year. Looking forward to it again. Nice knife also.

Kerry, looking at all those old knives has imprinted the texture and look of the old jigging.
That Backpocket's bone resembles jigging from a certain era, and the Knutbuster's, from the era just before it!
Bodacious, both of 'em!!!!

Here are two knives from approximately the 1920s (upper) and 1930s (lower).
A Shapleigh D-E, and a Schrade Cut. Co.
And then Kerry's knives. Anyone agree there's a family resemblance?

Charlie, I was off by a decade :)

I told Kerry I thought the jigging and bone (on my knife) looked like it was from the 30's.

Lotta guessing on both our parts JB. I know it's before WWII, and I'm 90% sure of the order in which they occurred.

I agree with you, Campbell, those knives of Kerry's are to die for!!

Thanks to you, Charlie, we have lots of looks at what really good jigged bone should look like. The two Kens are making nicely jigged bone as well and having Reese Bose close doesn't hurt. That's a lot of excellent resources to draw from, otherwise I would just be schleppin along.

The Pony Express rider dropped it off yesterday at a dead run....knowing I'd be waitin' :)

It is one sweet smooth knife, exceptionally sharp.

Many thanks to the great KnifeHead....

It's always great when a knife arrives safely and makes someone happy. :D
