Love the idea of a high end cyclone, though I would prefer a high end Junk Yard Dawg with speed-safe.
Are we the only two with a vision?!?!?!? :D Now seriously.... lets have a high end Junk Yard Dawg!!!! Ti frame lock, laminated ZDP, milled graphics.... c'mon!!!!

I'd even be happy with a S30V, speed-safe, and frame or studlock :)

But ZDP and Ti would sure be nice... The shape of that dawg is by far my favorite Kershaw.

Why not studlock, really? It is way better then framelock! ZDP+Titanium+Studlock, will be winner for sure.

Thanks, Vassili.

I say Thomas, you struck gold with the ZDP Ti Framelock leek, My girlfriend bought this for me this time and I love it!!

Why do it again with this knife? Either way, it's gotta be a framelock.

Stronger, slimmer, lighter right?

Keep up the great work!

Unknownroad, Robert, I think the flipper on the JYD will be very smooth, like the Seagal. My Seagal is as fast as my AOs, but I do LOVE the SpeedSafe and wish the Seagal had it.

I look forward to the ZDP Cyclone and maybe Thomas W could let us do a knife pass around with one of the prototypes.? I'll go make a thread in that forum...

I think carbon fiber and a studlock would be very nice!:)

If we’re going to talk about up and coming knives what about the Groove?

I think this design is way too fancy to leave alone, an S30V SS handle or ZDP-189 Ti version would be awesome.

I agree Joshua, I prefer looks of the the JYD and the Groove to the Cyclone. Hoping the high-end versions come with speed-safe :) The groove would look great with carbon fiber scales as well.

ThomasW,
I'd buy the textured G10 version because a textured G10 handle simply feels great and very secure in the hand. This would be a user for me so i'd rate the G10 higher than the titanium handle. A textured G10/textured titanium handle like on the ZT framelock would be great too but I never had any problems with my Blur's liner lock so i'd choose the more afordable G10 liner lock version over the Ti/G10-framelock version if there is a real price difference ($100 is real enough). The only reason why i didn't buy a Mini Cyclone yet is the slick aluminium handle without any inlays so i doubt i'd buy an untextured titanium handle eighter.

To blade steel i'd say 154CM, but any good steel would do, it should be a user steel though and nothing too hard and brittle.

The Cyclone is only available eighter way larger or a little smaller than my Blur which i consider to have the perfect EDC size for me, so i'd go with the smaller Mini Cyclone for EDC. If i would also buy a large G10 Cyclone would probably depend on how the textured G10 Cyclone handle compares with the ergonomics of the Spec Bump.

Thank you for listening to us customers! I hope your prototypes are working out good and we'll be able to see pictures soon.

I agree! If its over $200, I'll never own it anyway, so I would prefer to sacrifice the frame-lock for the great steel and actually afford the knife.

Jeremy

why not a SS-framelock as the vapor?
would stay in a reasonable pricerange.
Just my 2 Swiss cents.

best, Patrick

Ti framelock and zdp blade for the mini cyclone, colored G10 for the large. I don't know exactly what's being 'compromised' by any combination.
