Kershaw Cryo?

Success!

It's heavier than I thought it would be but in a good way. It feels great in your hand.

And it disappears in your poocket.

Here's the Cryo with a Tanto Mini Grip for size reference.

I hate to say it but I think my Benchmades will be taking a time out...

Nah....just change ends with the clip....all ya gotta do.
That makes it tip up...as it should be! but then: it DOES show above the pocket, just slightly....mebbe a quarter-inch...and makes it simply perfect.

CRYO IN THE HOUSE!

All I can say is it is worth the wait and even better than I expected. If you have not ordered one, you really should! It is a home run, Knife Fans! :D

Absolutely right, Gnarly. All it takes is a Torx 6 screw driver and about 30 seconds to switch the clip for tip up carry. Now it isn't too hard to get the knife out of the pocket IMO.

Does anyone know what the pricing of the ii will be?
In all honesty though, I will probably buy them both anyway.

I went ahead and changed mine to tip up and also put the clip on the correct side.

:p ;)

I got shipping confirmation from bladeops today that mine has
shipped.
They were in stock early Saturday morning.
Knife Center still has me on a pre order list for August.

Thanx! for posting the great CRYO clip-changeover pix, guys!

Changing the clip only takes seconds.
Then, when you pull it out, yer trigger finger is already on the flipper.

Loving it even better after the 200th pull & flipper sequence!

(Older muscles; crowded memory....gotta teach myself muscle memory!)

Got mine today and it's such a great little knife. I'm gonna EDC it pretty hard the next few days because I'll have a new Wilson Combat edition CRK "Starbenza" Sebenza coming in the mail later this week and I'm sure that will take over my pocket. Then, hopefully the Cryo II will come out a few weeks later and will kick the Starbenza out of my pocket for a while! :)

Definitely a great knife, I highly recommend this thing. It's a bit small for my tastes but I have large hands and can still get four fingers. The pinky doesn't get much of a grip but it doesn't hang off completely and the grip is solid. Very nice and robust knife. Can't believe the price. Although I would have loved a USA made one with USA Kershaw fit and finish and a little better steel. However, this isn't usual cheaper imported Kershaw quality (which isn't bad). It's actually very good and completely solid. I just wouldn't have minded paying twice as much for a USA made one with slight upgrades. The design of the knife is perfect though, and I can't wait for the II because it should be the perfect size.

First impressions:

One thing I have noticed since I shot this, is that the secondary bevel is noticeably uneven (more acute on the locking side than the non-locking side of the blade). Given the blade steel used though, it should be pretty easy to reprofile that bevel, and at least even it out. It does slice fairly well though right out of the box (goes through receipt paper pretty effortlessly). Really dig this one. Can't wait for the Cryo II, and it also makes me want to get my 0560 back (and get a 551 or 550!)... Damn.

I agree with A.Dragg, and I too would have paid twice as much for a USA made knife with slight upgrades. But this one is a real winner as is, and soooo many more people will be enjoying one at this price point. My hat's off to the Kershaw/Hinderer crew! Well done!
