Kershaw Cryo?

I got mine a few days ago and it is great. Heavier than I thought but it snaps out well with the assist and the titanium coating is a lot grippier than I thought it would be. It's perfect for me in the office. You can't see it in my pocket and it is small enough not to scare people and yet big enough to be very useful. I hope they run with this design and make some different editions like they did with the Leek. I'd love to see one with some grip inserts like the blur. One like the OD green blur would be sweet.

Mine just shipped today! Time to start clicking on the tracking info every hour. :D

I've got mine. It's a neat little knife for the money, very well made. Sure looking forward to a Cryo II now.

Mine shipped from Amazon today. I am a bit disappionted that theres no detend except for the torsion bar. Which makes this an assist only.

DERP HERP

Mine won't get here until tomorrow.... but I am already thinking of ways to fix the detent.

Anyone tried drilling a dimple in the blade yet?

My lockbar has a detent in it. However, the blade isn't really drilled for it. I can see a small mark where the detent sits when closed but not very deep. I think if you kissed that hole with a drill bit you could get the detent to hold the blade shut.

Just received my Cryo last night. My first impressions are awfully good. This is a STOUT little folder. It has a little bit of heft, but not so much to deter you from carrying it (which I did today and forgot it was there). The flipper is perfect. It has a curved edge and ridge that mold to your finger making deployment a breeze. It does carry deeper tip down, but tip up carries deep enough for my taste. What I'm most impressed with is my ability to get a full four finger grip (I do have small-medium hands). Jimping is also well done on both the blade and handle. Lockup is strong. No play left to right or up/down.

This knife is screaming for a steel upgrade and a USA label with lots of options in various colorations. If you haven't bought this knife, do so now. Rick and Kershaw did a phenomenal job!

My supplier just told me mine's still "In Process", and 0 are in stock.
I pre-ordered in February.

What gives?

I received an email from a certain online knife dealer saying that they had these in stock today.

But, by the time I clicked on the link, they were completely sold out. :( Man these suckers are selling quick...

Mine will be here next week because I didnt feel like paying for upgraded shipping. Longest. Week. Ever.

On Monday I ordered a Spyderco Sage from a big retailer by ground shipping, and they're just 800 miles away or so. I thought for sure it would be here Wednesday, maybe Thursday, certainly by Friday. I just got a notice that they created a shipping label and it hasn't left yet, so gotta do the "weekend wait."

Luckily my Cryo should be arriving tomorrow and I wasn't expecting it for another month or two!

I got mine in the mail today.
The first thing I did was change it to tip up and I noticed that the frame stop is about the same diameter as a 5.56 shell. I grabbed an empty case and brought it to work with me. Once I get up and running I'll see if I can make it work.
It's heavier than I thought but it's well made and razor sharp out of the box with no blade play.
A little on the small side but the Cryo 2 should be the perfect size.

A few people are saying its on the small side. Are you referring to the handle or the blade? Dont see anything that a 2.75'' blade couldnt do that a 3.25'' could do. Although the longer handle on the II will be nice, it will also be heavier!

Overall a great knife, but I'm finding that the handle is a bit small for my hand. Also, I definitely need to change the clip to tip up so that a bit of handle sticks out of my pocket. I like how well it hides tip down, but it is difficult to pull out easily.

Handle size is going to vary from individual to individual. As I stated earlier, I can get a full 4 finger grip on the handle. It's a great sized handle for only a 2.75" blade. In comparison, it's a little bit longer of a handle than my Buck Vantage Small (which is only a 3 finger knife for me). Yes, I'm aware I said "Buck". I'm sorry.

It does carry deeper tip down, but tip up carries deep enough for my taste. What I'm most impressed with is my ability to get a full four finger grip (I do have small-medium hands).
- I don't own the Cryo, but that was the only real issue that I had with it. Does anyone actually use a lanyard with a knife this small?

Looks like GP got their shipment in. I guess I'll have two by the end of the week, now...
