Kershaw has a new award winner - the Speedform

both the speedform and the volt are fantastic looking knives. The materials are extremeley attractive to me, and i love KO and RJ martin. I think these two knives have made my must have list.

Congrats to Kershaw on the award. I'm admittedly not a fan of the two tone handle that matches the pattern on the blades on the Speedform & Volt.

I like the design of the Tyrade, I just hope Kershaw doesnt go overboard with the composite blades with gold fill-in (not sure what to call it) in the future.

I like the pocket clips. I liked KO designs but his pocket clips stunk. Function > form in a pocket clip imo.

Just my 0.02 .

WOW!! Looks to be some really impressive work coming from Kershaw. I love the look of the composite blades, and to switch it up and put the D2 on the spine with a premium blade edge..... It makes me drool. Congrats on the award.

Elmax is nothing to sneeze at too. I can't wait to try these.

ELMAX
Right said. I had a custom handmade HD folder with Elmax blade (it called Ideal G :D), I love it. :D
Same edge holding at 58 HRC like my S30V Blur, but with better corrosion resistance and slightly better sharpening ability.

Excellent choice IMO.

What knife is this? I assume it is the "HD folder" mentioned in the post, but I don't know who/what that is. It is a very nice looking knife. Congratulations.

They shouldn't be long. Last I heard was "by the end of 2009"...I'd imagine it will be sooner to catch the Xmas market :)

I'm definitely getting a Volt and Speedform......GREAT JOB KERSHAW!!! Does anyone know what the blade thickness is on these two knives?

We're already in December. Any updates on the Volt/Speedform? I have yet to see any reviews/impressions on the internet.

Gosh darnit, if Kershaw didn't have enough of my money as it is. I can't wait till I can afford to get one of those.

December 15th, I'm pretty sure, is the first day available. And, like the rest of the lefties, I lament that the Speedform isn't available with a left-handed carry - it would be my first Kershaw.

A pity, it is such a beautiful knife.

From what I hear, they'll be lucky if they can squeeze the first run out before Christmas. Look for more availability in January.

Is it being non-lefty enough to make you not buy it? I mean I know that leftys get the short end of the stick, but if I were a lefty, I'd just carry it in my right pocket.

I have a pre-order in on a Speedform, but I am confused. It supposedly has G10 inlays on the handle, but the pics appear to show a solid ti handle with no inlay. Are there any pics anywhere in which the G10 is discernible?
