Kershaw quality is questionable

Let's be honest with each other though, if any of us had luck that bad we would be extremely pissed off and generally irritable to a point of trollish nature.

I read that the other day. I guess 30 days is his limit. But still, there are solutions to his problems other than what he displayed.

All of my Kershaws: Blackout, Cyclone, Needs Work, Scallion, Shallot, and RAM have no flaws, as well as my Griptillian, Native, and Buck 110. How does someone have such bad luck as to have that many problems with one brand ?
It's really hard to believe.
That's 9 knife purchases and 100% good quality.

If it's true it's way against the odds.

Is that Gentlemans folder supposed to represent bad quality?

It is supposed to show that something one would consider perfect and flawless may not be perceived as such by others.
I'm not unhappy about it. In fact I'm considering buying another. I just think that being accurate in one's statements would be nice.

BTW if there was NO criticism then how could be praise worth anything?

This is getting really tired. Normally, I have no problem checking out any thread where people say they have an issue with a knife, and if I feel I can offer a suggestion then I will. When it comes to stuff like the OP in this case with all sorts of attitude and crazy declarations (like when he said someone at Kershaw should be fired :barf:) then I'm not going to waste any of my time with it. Offering these folks an olive branch or a helping hand seems useless. It makes me sad to feel that way, but I'd prefer to withdraw myself from it at the start rather than extend goodwill and continually have it spit upon by someone who wants nothing but an argument.

i bought a nakamura for a friend for christmas,& i took it to clean up & resharpen last month & there was a lot of up & down & side to side blade play.i was not too happy considering the price.fit & finish of handles & the rest was very good.never had a problem with any other kershaw ever, & ive had many over the last 30 years.......

Look people that 'felt offended' for any reason other than calling you all fanboys because there is nothing wrong with being a fanboy if that is the way you feel.

People forget what I said about Kershaw.
1) Some of the best knife designs EVER
2) Wonderful, quality and creative materials used

The only thing I have had wrong with Kershaw knives is the way they have been arriving in the box (a couple of exceptions only). Quality control and consistency was the only problems with the exceptions of the Nakamura's poor fitting scales and the Damascus Leek's pattern simply came off.

Not a perfectionist just picky enough to care that a product is good to go out of the box is not an unreasonable expectation from any company or any product. I had a high percentage of quality control problems. This does not mean Kershaw knives are not good in the slightest.

Do not be offended by the messenger even if the message is not on mark with the rest of the flock. It is all personal opinion and experience anyway.
