All of the Kai replies seem very much Thomas Welk.

No need to show us all of these broken knives and say how you replaced them. It's not like you're telling us or showing us something we don't now. Every knife company gets back a certain amount of fakes or broken knives that shouldn't be replaced, yet they are in order to gain or keep a customer. Just because we don't work for a knife company doesn't mean you need to talk down to us like we know nothing about warranty or knife locks. There are a LOT of smart folks here....but then again, I'm sure you knew that.

Here's the thing, like I said before, whomever is posting for "Kai Corp" seems to get mad and take things personal. Don't. Thomas left many times because of frustration. It's business and whether it is the knife industry or not things happen every day just like this.

Really this thread is about spine whacks: If an $8 knife can pass spine whacks all day shouldn't a $50 or more knife? Sure. I say so.

David you're treading on thin ice here. Please check yourself prior to posting like this in the future.
 
What I have learned from this thread:
1. haters gonna hate
2. spine whack test is biased at best, nobody will ever agree
3. forum members hold their standards 10x higher than most (as do I)
4. maybe you should try warranty repair before starting a debate thread
