Kershaw starting Sprint Runs!

Well, this certainly was a predictable sprint. I just picked up a bareknuckle for $65, so I'm not going to get one of these, but this seems like it's offering decent value. Hopefully they step up their M390 heat treatment for these sprints.

I understand the sub-frame-lock is the best thing anyone has ever invented in the history of mankind, but do we really need the patent number printed right on it?
I wonder if this is a continuation of Kershaw's fight with Microtech over rights to the sub-frame lock. The same motivation that had them call the 7000 series "The Natrix"?

Well, benchmade had the axis patent number on their blades for a while. Kershaw is just protecting their property I guess?

I do find it funny that a Natrix is actually a species of grass snake. Although I don't think it was just the lock that caused so much grief. The Matrix was literally a copy of the 0777. Pretty lame, although I'm sure it was a fine knife.

Man, I'm really going back and forth on this one! Deep down, I was kind of hoping it would be a carbon fiber Natrix with M390. I love the action of the entire Natrix/Bareknuckle line and the addition of some sweet steel and carbon fiber that is among the best finished in the industry (in my opinion) makes this really hard to pass on. I tend to have a hard limit of about a 3.25" blade on a folder, and so far not a single 3.5" bladed knife has stayed in my collection (although the Keen is 3.4" I believe). Ugh, decisions.

I feel the same way. I am saving up for a Zero Tolerance 0562cf, but I could get the sprint run Bareknuckle and a Manix 2 for about the same price.

Bleh. More blackwash. I'd buy one of it was DLC or stonewash.

Hope everyone who wants one gets one. It's a great deal.

Different strokes . . . I have to admit to liking blackwash-type finishes. Smooth coated black blades look like hell when they get that first scratch, and then fine after they've got fifty scratches. Coated (for the style choice) and then stonewashed, though, then you can scratch them up and it's really nowhere near as noticeable.

I'm with you there. I don't like a solid black coating, especially Cerakote (I can deal with TiNi), but I think blackwash finished blades look pretty good even after a lot of use.

I wonder if anyone is making standoffs for the Bareknuckle just yet...?

yeah...in for one.....and I'm gonna swap out the blade from my damascus bareknuckle...that will be as close to a 777 as I can get:)

I hope you post up pics of this, as it should be badass.

I'm passing on this one as well. It's a great deal for somebody who wants one though, I hope everyone who wants one gets one.

Did anyone get a confirmation of order before KAI shipping. I order one but no confirmation
I got an order confirmation before shipping when I ordered. I also got a shipping notice already. Fast! As someone commented above.
