I did my research on the knife. The pictures and video I had seen clearly had marked made in USA. When I got the dam thing it made me wounder

The laser engraving on the knives has changed over the years. Yes, manufacturing has also changed over the years, as in improved methods for making production more efficient. The Blur has never been made in China, period. What's more, Kershaw make their own screws, torsion bars, fasteners, mill their own handles, and all the materials procured for the Blur are USA made (with the exception of some steels like the ZDP-189CB, etc).

This thread is making me think.

I just noticed -- my Skyline only says MADE IN USA on one side of the blade! The other side says Kershaw, so it's not like they didn't bother to etch that side -- they did! Yet they didn't etch MADE IN USA on that side. What if the whole left side of the blade was made in Bumfuquistan? Even if that side was only polished and etched in Bumfuquistan, I wanted a knife wholly MADE IN USA. Now I don't know what to think.

I'm sending all my kershaws back. What if Made in USA is stamped on the blade, handle, and box, but they're really made somewhere else?

I'm worried.

The saddest part of this whole thread is that I actually took the time to read it. The best part of this thread is the picture of the cat !

it's possible. all they need to do is have it assembled here in order to stamp it.

I got two China made Kershaws about a week ago: both are well made, good finish, good steel. Not a thing wrong with them.
I got the Kershaw Crown (liner lock/ thumb stud) and a lockback Buck 110 style. Very pleased with both.

So you think because the blade isn't stamped made in the USA that it's made in China?

You said you bought a S30V Blur. If you did a little research you would know that S30V is made by Crucible steel which is a US maker of steel. If it's S30v, it has to be steel made in the USA.

You seem to really want to dance around the subject and not give straight answers. If you want to accuse Kershaw of something then come out and say it. All you do is just keep muddying the water...

That's not true. Spyderco puts out Taiwanese knives with S30V.

This thread is a complete waste of time. A little research would have given all the info needed. Closed.
