I do understand that. Manufacturing does change, but if it was on earlier models why not continue it. It just questions the creditably. The blade does have markings on it but not that. To me that is the most inportant thing. I have all sort of tools etc. And I always look for were it is stamped, etched of the main body. Before you know it they will all be made in china

Here's how it breaks down, you bought a knife on the grounds that it was USA made. The knife arrives with USA on the handle and not the blade. You get worried thinking somehow you have been duped into purchasing a china made knife. You come to the forums and ask what gives. People come here and reassure you that the knife is in fact made here in the US and they point you to the box, the handle and the website all stating such. You have been reassured that the knife you bought is US made and that there is no need to worry. You got what you paid for, which is a nice knife(you stated this) that is made here on US soil by hard working US hands. But apparently that's not good enough anymore and you are going to return the knife to prove some sort of point since it doesn't state it on the blade like you think it should. It's your money, do what you want but you're being irrational. Best wishes on replacing your USA made knife with another USA made knife.

I think you are taking this issue way too far, and you know this as well. The Kershaw Blur is made in the USA, so is the Shallot, Chive, Scallion, Leek, Skyline, and other models. If you have any doubts, call Kershaw directly and ask them whatever you need to in order to lift the fog you are operating under. In the end, it's your cash, your knife, you can do anything you want with it. You've already been given plenty of opinions both factual and personal. What purpose is there in continuing down this path now?

Well said and I agree completely.

This whole thread reminds me of that scene from Tommy Boy when the old man's talking about the "guarantee" being stamped on the box.

I don't have a choise with that. I still do with tools for the moment

Seems to me you are more interested in beating the already long dead horse than learning anything from people who know more than you on the subject. We have a term for such things.

So you think because the blade isn't stamped made in the USA that it's made in China?

You said you bought a S30V Blur. If you did a little research you would know that S30V is made by Crucible steel which is a US maker of steel. If it's S30v, it has to be steel made in the USA.

You seem to really want to dance around the subject and not give straight answers. If you want to accuse Kershaw of something then come out and say it. All you do is just keep muddying the water...

Here we go again with making or self's feel confident

I did my research on the knife. The pictures and video I had seen clearly had marked made in USA. When I got the dam thing it made me wounder

Well, there is no need to wonder any further, the knife is USA made. Enjoy your blade:thumbup:
