Kershaw Tilt...again.

I'm not a big fan of coated blades but love the stonewash and wish I could get one. I gave up on ever getting a Tilt and am waiting on the 0560.

It's the not having any other Kershaws to throw money at that has driven my quest for Blurs; which has gotten a bit out of hand. Jim now has pushed me in to serrateds which made it hard to say the 1675 rescues aren't necessary. I'm about to sell a motorcycle to fund my knife addiction :P

LOL I feel the same way about coated blades. Sold my bike and all of the money went into knives.

Liking this knife a lot but it is not in my immediate future.

As i mentioned mentioned in my TILT post i was a bit put off when i found out abou the coated blade, but i hung in there kept my pre order in that was in from march last year and got mine a few days ago, and now that i have it i'm very glad i did. The fit and finish is excellent! and it a decent size. here is it next to the para 2

That fine stone wash finish looks sweet.

I also like the dlc. If it holds up like dlc on spyderco para 2 or grayman dua- no complaints from me.

OH MAN! Awesome! Seeing as I haven't gotten my pre-order from Dave yet, I will probably be getting one of the stonewashed versions....very excited! Love how the stonewash looks. Can't believe only 205 all black Tilt's were made- very glad I have one!

Hi Hemi -

I also noticed the cool 3d effect of the KAI logo on yours - I will have to check that out on mine when I get home - I am carrying a traditional today.

Wow. What a beautiful knife. Gonna have to try and get me one of these. After 30+ years of being a certifiable "knife nut" with a very small collection of mostly consumer grade knives that have caught my eye over the years I find my eyes constantly wandering toward more higher end stuff nowadays. Still in the middle of raising 3 kids on a blue collar budget doesn't allow for much of a budget for my covetous new desires. Still, Daddy deserves to be treated every now and then and even though I've been so far out of the loop that you could change my username to Pluto, I'm interested in aquiring one of these for myself. For all my "love" of knives, I really don't find many that appeal to me on such a primevil level as many of the Kershaw and ZT knives. Strange maybe, but beauty is...blah, blah, blah. I'm kind of interested in some of the spyderco's, but nowhere near as many of thier knives "Move" me like the Kershaws. It all started when a Utility Locator friend of mine who knows how much I like knives gave me a Kershaw Scallion he found on the side of the road while marking. The poor little thing was a little dinged up, guess it might have fallen out of some motorcyclists pocket or something like that. Anyway, I smoothed the burred edges of the scales with a little file job and when I inspected the blade I found that the tip was slightly bent like it had been used to pry on something. It still closed without interference so I just gave it a good sharpening and cleaned it up and started carrying it in place of a cheap Buck I had been using as a work knife. Long story short, I love my Scallion. Easy to sharpen, smooth, attractive, perfect size for unobtrusive carry. I decided to look into Kershaw knives and bought a Leek at the local Academy Sports to try out. At first I wasn't sold on the looks or blade shape, but like many on this board, the more you use it, the more it grows on you and the more you wonder why you haven't had one of these all along. Tragedy intervened in the fate of my beloved little Scallion. One evening after work while I was outside performing some Honey-do's my wife was running some laundry and she grabbed my work pants and threw them in the washing machine. She got everything out the pants except that tenacious little Scallion with the excellent pocket clip. Didn't even notice the weight of it in the pants. Somehow during the wash cycle the blade opened and was subsequently broken off, in about the same vicinity as the aforementioned bend. Now I don't know how to proceed with the Scallion as far as warranty goes as I am not the original purchaser obviously, but I do know how to proceed regarding the Tilt :D

Is there absolutely going to be a new run?

If so, who is the go-to guy on this board for pre-orders? The KershawGuy?

Besides the Tilt, what are some other "must have" Kershaw high end knives?

Thanks. Hope the long post was not "out of order" so please don't tie me to the whipping post for being a rambling man

There will be a run of stonewashed Tilt's, yes. When and exactly how many isn't known yet.

Kershawguy is the one.

Besides the Tilt, what are some other "must have" Kershaw high end knives?

There have been some other past limited run knives that pop up every so often. The Spyker (Spyderco/Kershaw collaboration), Ti Bump, Volt, and Speedform are a few that come to mind but there are others.

Don't know if anybody noticed but someone posted a vid on YT a while ago showing the new stonewashed Tilt.

That was probably Brandnewcolony. Thomas sent him one last week I believe.

It is. Great video of it as well. I'm hoping I get a stonewashed one from my pre-order with Kershawguy, it'll compliment my all blacked-out Tilt nicely! :D and If I can by some miracle get #111 to match the serial number on my black one, well, that'd be the icing on the cake.
