Kershaw Tyrade's in black G-10 are here

I'm also curious about the tape on the clip. Does it make the clip less noticeable?

I read that the black ones have a stone-washed blade and the other two (tan and orange) are bead blasted. Any comparison pics? Does a stone wash leave a darker hue than bead blasted, or is it the other way around?
 
I use the tape for a couple of reasons; one is to make it easier to draw the knife from my pocket using the clip, and the second reason is to minimize the appearance of the clip, in other words to cover it up! It works great. The stonwash finish looks good on this blade. Glad to see more folks are getting theirs! I've already got an orange and two tans on hold for the end of the month. I'll probably pick up a second black one also. These are just awesome knives!

I would love to know if this is true. If the tan is stonewash then I'd likely order one of those in addition to the black I already purchased.

In my experience the Beadblasted D2 edge portion would be stained/rusted in less than a day...
 
Tan and orange wull be the fine bead blast that Kershaw does on their other folders, and this is from what I've read. I could certaintly live with the stonewashed blades on all three!!

The 6th and 7th pic show a couple of minor flaws - the rough machining on one of the liners, and the back spacer is not perfectly lined up with the liner, but aside from these two things, for the price, this thing is amazing! :thumbup:
 
These things are sweet looking. I'm so amped to get mine (I have a black one and an orange one on order, they ship on monday) I am pissed, as I am out of town and won't be able to fondle them until the middle of June. My wife humors me though and sends me pictures of the stuff I order while I am gone.
 
Oh wow! You have to wait a month to get to see them, man I would have a very hard time with that, especially after seeing how nice these turned out!
 
Does anyone have one of the original tyrades? Wondered how they compare with the G10?
 
These appear to definitely be a bargain. Kershaw just mighta smacked it outta the park!

Looks exactly like a mix between a Ti Tyrade and the JYDII :) Judging by the JYDII "liner lock" (really just a frame lock with G10 covering it imo), the lockup will be awesome ;)

If I didn't already have a Ti Tyrade, I would for sure get a G10. Really glad Kershaw did this, the Tyrade is too good of a knife to be out of production!
 
The Tyrade IS out of production. These were a very few blades left over from the regular run. The color wasn't right but they decided to go for a bargain price on a liner lock. Once these are gone, the Tyrade line will fade into history.

Get 'em while you can! :D
 
Or more correctly, it'll be out of production as soon as they finish up the tan and blue ones.
 
Are there any pictures out there yet of the Blue Tyrade ?

And, do any of you Kershaw guys know the release date on them ??
I thought I saw a post by Thomas that they were not even in production yet.
Got one on Pre order with Knifeworks.

The second round of blacks were released last week. The BB versions.
Also note that the black BB version is the most limited at around 120pcs.
