I speechless :o

I didn't pre-order it.I got it from a friend who's a dealer,& happened to have an extra.

This knife is amazing!Buttery smooth flipping action, solid lock-up,The handle fills the hand very well. It's so dam comfortable!

sorry for the crappy pic, just a point & shoot camera & bad lighting.

Oooo you dog!! Well congradulations on being the first (that I know of) to post a pic of their own personal Volt. I got my preorder in real late after I found out that they are a sprint run so I'm not expecting to get one but I'm crossing my fingers!

Oh man I want mine so bad!! I have so many questions to ask about it, but I'll just wait to get mine. It is beautiful and just screams RJ Martin.

Oooo ya thanks buddy! Man I hope my preorder goes through. I love that hinderer lockbar stabilizer. How does that pocket clip perform? It looks like it will stay pretty much out of the way when you grip the handle?

Actually,If I could change anything about this knife,it would be the pocket clip. The clip digs into my hand when I grip it tight.Maybe because I have kinda large hands.Someone with smaller hands, should be able to hold it right below the clip.
I'll probably build up a callous there,& it'll be alright.:D

Hmmm ya I can't wait to see how it feels in my hand (if I get the chance to). The reason I liked the look of that clip was because it looked like it my hand would rest right in front of it considering its a fairly large knife and my hands are medium sized. I'll just have to wait and see. Thanks for sharing the pics and insight.

Alright, I have to ask one question. How well is the integrated G-10 done? Can you feel the seam or is it done in a way where it just flows frm G-10 to Ti?

Also, not a question, but right now I am confused.... #268? I thought only 250 were made. Is that just a round number?

Did I read correctly?????

Why use Cpm D2, and not have the d2 in the edge for retention. What the heck is the point of machining d2 steel, and not having the pay off of the edge retention?

Kershaw wanted the edge to be Bohler M390. A fantastic steel, with qualities many may say puts it ahead of CPM D2. Another reason is the compatibility of the D2 and the M390 in the bonding process. You can't just throw two steels together and expect it to work. A third idea, and this is mine, is that on a high end knife such as this, why not use D2 for the spine if its compatible? Makes more sense than 8Cr13MoV.

My opinion is that it is mainly because of the color contrast that can be achieved with D2. Similar to why the different steels are chosen for use in damascus. Also, you want to use metals with a similar heat treat process so that you end up with a hard edge and spine and not a soft spine. I think any metal will work in the bonding process as it is basically brazed together and most metals can be brazed. This is of course all just my WAG but it makes since.

I can't feel any seam at all. It's perfectly integrated.

Hi John, great looking folder! Two questions; what is the blade thickness (same as the ZT's), and what is the weight?

Well there is a third question; how thick are the scales?

Weight = 5.2oz

Handle thickness = 3/8"

Blade thickness = between 1/8" & 3/16"

I'm using a tape measure,& I suck at math.:o:D
