In the outside chance that I will maybe have a post #2000, I thought that would be an excellent opportunity for a give-away. Well, I ain't going to do that! I'm going to do a trade-away.

I am putting up for trade this 3 5/8" green bone swayback gents knife that I just finished. The winner of my KH2K Trade-Away will need to put up something folksy to trade in exchange for this little guy. But there are a few rules and restrictions to play the game:

1. You need to be a regular poster/participator in this forum.

2. You must not currently own any handmade custom slip joints. Customized production knives are OK though because...uh......just because :) Call me stupid and naive but I am trusting that you postees will be honest.

3. Winner will be selected by the post number. Just post in this thread that you want to play and yer in.

4. I will announce the winner when my post count gets to 2000.

5. In exchange for this knife, all you need to do is trade me something folksy. It doesn't have to be a knife, just something you think is folksy.

6. Ofcourse, I am the judge, jury, and executioner of this game so ya know what that means. :D The golden rule applies heavily here in folksy land.;)

Here's what you're playin for...3 5/8" Swayback Gent's Knife, D2 blade and spring, green bone jigged by me, stainless pins, pinned shield, bolsters and liners. For you guys that don't like half stopped blades, you might not want to enter this game...it's kinda sharp and I wouldn't want you to get hurt by the tricky blade action :)

That's a mighty folksy introduction to custom knives there, Kerry. Well done and good luck to all those who qualify.

...and one other thing. This knife is meant to be used! When you get it, stick it in your pocket and USE IT. No safe queen here....it has a 220grit belt finish and the bolsters are hand finished to 600grit. ;)

Great idea Kerry. Someone is going to get a great knife. Sorry I can't play..

1 - I pretty much post here and in the WSS forum exclusively.

2 - I just bought my first custom fixed blade. Never really looked at custom slipjoints as they're a bit out of reach right now, so nope, I don't have a custom slippy.

5 - I think I can do that.

Thanks very much for the opportunity to play. You can bet I'd carry that. It would get more in-hand time than it would pocket time due to me showing it off to everyone and anyone.

Thanks again,
Chris

Great Looking knife Kerry! Someone is going to get a great EDC.

Gorgeous knife, Kerry! I would be honored to carry that and pass it down to my son in due time. I do not own any custom slipjoints, but have been considering one for a while. Yours would come with a great story. Thanks for the trade-away.

That's a great looking knife Kerry! Mighty GENEROUS of you!
Wish I could play!

Outstanding Kerry!

If I get rid of my custom slipjoints, and offer a mule for trade, could I qualify?

Nice of you to recruit a new custom slipjoint owner, Kerry! Downright generous!!
(Ummmmm, can I play if I change my name?? JK, JK!!)

This is a nice knife folks and would make a good carry. I watched him put it together today and there wasn't a "dang it" to be heard. He got a good scald on it. It's a dandy.

I'm in... some production Case, Queen and Northwoods, but I wanna play.

I may even write a folksy poem if I win.

Really nice looking knife! I need to get on your list (this is a firm offer) for an EDC of the next-20-years variety! Swaybacks are GREAT! (not a participant in this)

Thanks for the positive vibage fellers and it's good to see some qualified players jumping on board. Should be fun guys and only 19 posts to go :)

Very generous of you Kerry, this may be my only chance of carrying a true custom and for that I thank you for the opportunity.
Dave

Great deal Kerry, you kinda set the bar high don't ya? To the winner you will be a very lucky person.

Wow this is my big chance ----- I don't have any custom knives -----just schrades, schatts and queens, but I will trade one of them for that wonderful knife. Thank you very much for the opportunity. I also make a mean loaf of bread.

Still too poor for customs being a grad student. It would be an honor to own one of your knives. Now or somewhere down the line.

God Bless.
