KH2K Trade-away

this is why this is a great forum, cause no place else can you find people just giving a knife away, A nice knife I might add. and then insisting you carry it. great Idea and very generous. I dont post here a ton but sometimes. Dosent matter either way its a very nice thing your doing. Beautiful knife too.- Joel

I would like to throw my hat into the pot if you determine that my posts here have become regular enough to qualify. As far as "folksy" goes could you list some of the activities/ items that you like and would qualify (this would speed up the contest too!). My family hordes things and loves antiques so I think I could conjure up something.
My 1000 is coming up soon and I think I have an idea of what to do when it is my turn.

Thanks for this and I hope I get the luck!!

Kerry, Great little knife!

I lurk in the slippie forumn, But never really post over here...am I a closet slippie nut? (My old Barlow has seen better days!)

Great jesture, and If I am worthy, count me in. If not, Congrats on 2000, and to the winner!

What?? Green bone AND a Wharncliffe?? That needs use!

Could not be better!

Thanks for this stunning offer, I have no customs (knives that is..)so I believe I qualify!

Dang it I knew I shouldn't have purchased that one custom knife...I don't even like it anymore..:D

A great contest with a beautiful knife...Good luck folks..

Although I own some customs there is no custom slippie among them. I can trade a small pen knife and a bag of homegrown chiles. Thanks for the chance to own a custom.

Turkey Shoots are kinda folksy, I'm gonna use great grandad's 12ga Winchester(again...folksy) to pick the winner when it's time.

What of folks who just lurk here because they are trying to learn about slips'? Been here 5 months without a post just reading along absorbing it like a sponge! I don't have any slippies, just my one smooth bone grafting knife that's been in my pocket for going on 30 years now. i'm in if you say so, love to be carrying that knife down to the farmer's monthly meetings! Thanks for even offering it up!

I just posted to another thread about a knife someone here made that I really liked which would be my first custom slippie. Now if I won this trade-away I am sure I would find it hard to sleep at night for not keeping my word but I'll get through it. I can probably come up with something to trade, maybe something from my vintage coleman lantern collection.

In the off chance I win, I'm sure I can come up with something sufficiently folsky in trade.

Turkey Shoots are kinda folksy, I'm gonna use great grandad's 12ga Winchester(again...folksy) to pick the winner when it's time.

I hope this method doesn't involve an elimination process.

Kerry,

I don't know if I qualify under rule #1 or not, but I'd be a damn fool not to try. I'm in if it's cool with you.

Thanks,

Andy

KnifeHead, those green scales look veerry folksy alongside your granddad's shotgun. Keeeep posting! :D

I have posted here quite a bit, more than elsewhere lately. I have a Boker carbon barlow that is folksy. I'm more of a looker than a poster, but if I count, then count me in! Thanks for the chance.
PS I was lookin' at a PJ Tomes, but couldn't afford it!

I QUALIFY!

I have no custom knives of any kind... love the look of swaybacks and wharncliffe blades, and am awash in folksy items to trade!

Thank you friends for all the great comments about the knife and for all the participants. The next time I post will be right here with name of the winner. Here's a tip though, don't sit there refreshing the dang browser for a while in hopes that I have done the deed. It's going to be a good old fashioned, folksy surprise....and MAY THE FOLKSY BE WITH YOU! :D:thumbup:

I may just have a custom slipjoint around here somewhere so I can't play but I do want to say that Mr. KnifeHead Kerry is a good, good man for doing this.

Beautiful knife and a really nice thing to do.

I don't own any custom slippies and I do post here.... I'm sure I can find something to trade.

Thanks for the chance.

oooeeerrr. That's a lovely knife Kerry. Count me in please, but what sort of folksy stuff are you into? For e.g, do you smoke a pipe?
