 Jerry...you're killing me here. I need another new chopper like I need a hole in my head, which is what resinwife will give me if I spend any more of resingirl's college fund.

Whew!

I have to say, I was inches away from being a TT member back when it came up. But I held off. I'm SO glad. Because at the "special discount pricing" I'd HAVE to buy this knife - even though I don't "need" it and working hard to whittle down my collection.

Great job putting this together, Boss. And congrats to the original team members. This looks like a sweet deal - esp. if you guys GO USE THEM!

Have to... need it?....

yep, that's the struggle.

hot damn, I clicked on this thinking oh hell my wallet is gonna be pissed if these are satin and black paper. then i saw that i cant order one any way. missed the boat...going back to crying in my pabst and jameson.

If anyone happens to order one too many and needs to get it off their hands... Just saying...seriously I'm freakin' out man!!!

..
Can we request the same Killa Zilla 2 LE serial # as our Test Team #???

When are the Test Team FOLDERS going to be available???

Not sure if this out of line, but I will service your watch for a proxy. I am a WOSTEP certified watchmaker, and my email is my my username @gmail. cheers

I'd love to have one of those, but I'll be perfectly happy with my combat grade, especially once I strip it!

Congrats to the test team folks on getting the chance to get one of these. ;)

Another awesome blade from Busse, how they keep coming out with such wonderful work is beyond me....

Congrats to the original test team members...

Regards, Les.

I'm going to post this though I know it was cause a whole lot of backlash, I buy these knives for my husband since he seems to like them so much and I have heard enough about how badly he wants one of these LE Zilla's to make my ears bleed so I had intended to get him one for Christmas this year... Now, because I didn't have the time or money to go hang out and look at knives and drink beer with the guys last year I can't buy one without hawking my wedding rings. I have noticed that Mr. Busse likes to play alot of games and while I don't mind some excitement I don't always have the ability to sit idle in front of my computer and let my children run wild so I can participate, not to mention the fact that these knives can become insanely expensive, I cannot help but wonder if this is a knife maker who requires that I be wealthy and not have to work in order to own his knives. I am becoming tired of trying to buy American when American's only care about how much they can jack up the price and make sure that the working man has to choose between a quality knife and putting a meal on the table for his family. I carry a Sar 3 currently as it's the one I like best and it seems to fit my hand better than most of them and my friends think Im insane to carry something that expensive much less to have bought it, the question most asked, Why would you spend that much money on a knife when there are so many other things you could buy. You can pick up a 20 dollar knife at walmart and do the same things with it... It's hard to defend buying American when the price is that big of a difference, it's discouraging and disheartening to see that not only can I not get my hands on one but even if I could you have the prices marked so high that short of not paying rent that month I couldn't get him one. So, while I'm sure that the rest of you seem to have thousands of dollars to spend on getting one knife I'm speaking for those of us who have to save for months to buy one but perhaps that's the point. Perhaps it's come down to only the elite wealthy can own a Busse. I'm sure that you all will roast me after this post and I'm sure I have offended those who do have money and time. Perhaps it's time to find a knife maker who believes we should be able to afford to buy his knives and not have to jump through hoops, play games, and run naked through the streets to get something nice.

FWIW - I don't qualify for one of these impressive beasts but good luck to those that do, you earned the right by taking a punt on the TT version! :D

If you want to buy American and still get outrageous performance for your dollar, then please check out both Swamp Rat and Scrap Yard knives. Most Swamp Rats are under the $200.00 mark while most Scrap Yard blades come in under the $100.00 mark. Both of these American made lines come out of the same shop in Wauseon, Ohio as the Busse Combat line.

Let's Drink!!!

No need to be roasted about it. It's just the way of the world. Look at Jay Fisher - the CHEAPEST JF knife is about the same price as the upper end BUSSE knives. Sure, they are custom made, so not the same, but really, are they 50 times better than the 20 dollar knife from Walmart? Doubt it.

I'd still buy one if I had the money though...

Oh, in essence, don't be sad about the cost of Busse knives. You get what you pay for, even if part of it is the name. The other part of it, tho, is a thoroughly brilliant knife. Even my standard BWM is a bargain at $357 - worth every penny I had to SAVE to buy it.

The same questions can be made of a cars. Why would you want a Porsche when you can get a Toyota that gets the job. The point is that a Porsche is a beautiful piece of design, delivers much higher performance and has that "I have a Porsche!" sense of accomplishment.

Now swap Porsche with Busse and you are most of the way there.

Well, your husband probably doesn't need one of these but wants to have one. One reason that he would like one is because not everyone can afford to have one. The want is greater when not everyone on earth has one, so he probably wants one because it is expensive and is hard to get.
As for price, I think this is a great offering at a great deal even though I don't even know the price. I would have to agree with Jerry on this one, if you want a great knife at a much less of a heavy price tag, the Swamp Rat and Scrap Yards knives are great strong knives with outstanding warranties for a better price that can be had for those that don't want to spend as much money.
