Agree w everything Josh saysI’m huge fan of the Khaki…several sizes and options to choose from. Keeps great time. Tons of reserve power.
Orient makes great affordable automatics. Robust divers and the Bambino has a cult following of it's ownCasio was where I started in the late 80s. I wore a Casio chronograph for about 4 years, and it wasn't anything negative about the watch that made me throw it away, it was a Valentine's Day gift from my ex wife, and I didn't want to be reminded of that every time I checked the time.
Then I traded into a couple of Citizen Ecodrives, foolishly thinking the Eco part referred to automatic, because I was trying to get away from batteries. I had had them for weeks before realizing they were solar.
I have switched to Seiko autos, Seiko 5s and a Seiko Presage, because I wanted away from batteries and I want accuracy and reliability, and their price point is about as high as I can justify where I am in life at the moment.
I started out with a Timex Mercury when I was 9, I wish decent manuals were still that affordable. I can remember my dad saying it "cost him 2 hour's pay and I better take care of it". Now the "more affordablle quality autos" I buy cost me 2 or 3 day's pay...
People say we need to make more money, I say we need to make our money worth more again...
Thank you, I added them to my list. I like the look of the Bambino open heart. I love the open heart on the Presage I have because I like looking at it an knowing it's my movement that powers the watch.Orient makes great affordable automatics.
