My wife and I each have discretionary money. Each pay cheque, we set some aside for spending on "Whatever the hell I want". This way, it's all above board, the wife doesn't turn into trouble and strife, and I don't have to lie to the woman I love. She doesn't care how much they cost, cuz I save up for them. She spends her money on musical instruments. I spend mine on knives. lol.

So if i lie to a woman i dont love her....Well I guess I should file for divorce! it seems to be the cool thing to do in the US these days! Just kidding I couldn't help myself..I glad you don't lie to her really. My woman cantt do squat bc I bring home they bread but she can squawk about it so i just dont want to hear it..but ...

Didn't say I don't lie, just I try not to lie to her! She is also very understanding of my knife...problem. Which makes me feel like I don't have to hide anything. I also bring the bread home, but i'm sure our system wouldn't work for everyone.

The tried and true, "I've had that for years". This go's for guns and knives. About a month ago my oldman went to the gun safe to grab his shotgun and found my new Remington 700 police .308. He asked me when I bought this and I told him about 3 years ago, just don't get it out much. He just gave me a sus look, grabbed my rifle saying "well if it hasn't been used in ages then you wont mind me taking out to blow out the cobwebbs" and walked off. I hadn't even had it long enough to sight it in!

Every time my wife hits something with the car or get a speeding ticket, I buy a knife. It was almost a year ago since the last time any of those things occured. Maybe I need to go the "I spend an equal amount on knives as you spend on your hair" route.

I make sure to pick up the mail and hide my new purchase. Otherwise she'll swipe them. I've been fighting tooth and nail to keep my orange Para 2 in my pocket and not hers!
