Knife customization gone wrong

I actually find it attractive in a weird unique ugly kind of way :D

posting it here to get mocked at the expense of the creator
I actually hadn't noticed he'd signed the blades, so I didn't think the post was at anyone's expense, since photos of anonymous poor craft get criticized here all the time. But since someone pointed out that his name is there, I'm deleting the original images that show his name.

I have issues with that as well, why is it OK to mock any custom work even if it is anonymous? Every time I see a thread aimed at creating negative thoughts towards makers, craftsman, or even other knife users, it seems like it's damaging to an otherwise accepting atmosphere.

I see the skill behind the engraving you shared, sure it's not the best work I've seen by a long stretch but if you compare the work of a novice to a master's creation of course it'll look crude and laughable; does that make it acceptable to mock it? I don't think so, and I'm not sure why others like you seem to think it's fine.

Well, when you put your handiwork out on the internet (especially for sale) you are opening yourself up to praise, criticism and perhaps mockery as well.
True, this guy is not here to defend himself and he is also unknown to us, so that makes criticism much more likely as well. I know I could find some things to compliment about the work, but I also have some criticisms. Nothing overly harsh though... if its an honest engraving attempt. We all have to start somewhere! But I woudn't be paying $100 for it!

Some of y'all weren't on BF back when I was doing the same quality of work. Take a look at my old youtube channel "FTWCM" if you're brave. I can't watch it myself, its a trainwreck.

Personally I love laughing at my old work (not knives). But I tried to access your channel and got this... Is YouTube trying to protect us?

Sure it's not crisp and clean but it isn't illegible. Clearly took some time to do, price is subjective. If he's selling them at that price then it's worth it.

I've criticized knives before, mostly knives from d bag makers. I know I couldn't replicate the engraving this guy does.. a bit like chair quarterbacks to hate on his work but can't/haven't produced any better and shown it to everyone.

I mean, sure, it's not my cup of tea and kinda seems like the guy's a dick; but it's definetly better than what I can do so yeah.

Hardship makes character. Those of us who experience hardship and don't succumb to it are betteredby it. To many worms out there with no character.

In the words of the wolf: "Just because you are a character, doesn't mean you have character." :D

Love that movie lol
