Knife customization gone wrong

You're all uncultured, it's clearly Ghetto Chic, made popular by hispanics in the mid 90's in the downtown Los Angeles Art District.

Had to share one more.

It's better than what I could ever do, but it's still aweful. At least I know where I stand.

And OMG those poor cars...

I'm not sure I follow. If Chris Reeve started charging $10,000 for a Sebenza it wouldn't be "worth it" just because that's the price he set.

He’s saying if they are infact selling at that price (as in people are buying them and thus willing to pay that) then it must be worth that much.

It's simple, if the asking price is to high, it doesn't sell and the price is lowered. If the item sells at asking price then obviously it's worth it.

Just because it isn't worth it to you, doesn't mean others wont pay the price and find it a good value. Opinions and such.

So in your example of Chris reeve charging 10 grand, if they sold at that price, guess what... they'd be worth it. Maybe not to you, but you are only one person.

Any expensive item is in the same boat, is a Lamborghini Gallardo worth its asking price? A prius gets you from point a to point b. The answer is always, are people paying for it?

The market decides if it's worth it or not.

Knives sell for, what potential customers are willing to pay.

Since CR knives sell like hotcakes and have for years and since CRK customers continuously rave about the product, the quality and ownership, CR knives must be priced right.

If one doesnt share the above sentiment, one doesnt have to take part in the CR 'thang.'

Disclosure; I dont own a CR folder.

I think alot of it is just mindset. You will have people who will buy a 200$ or 150$ knife every two weeks, but scoff at the idea of saving up for a month or two and buying a CRK.

Good Lord, why did I have to open this thread. I have seen too much that I cannot unsee. Time for eye-bleach and/or booze.

Some of y'all weren't on BF back when I was doing the same quality of work. Take a look at my old youtube channel "FTWCM" if you're brave. I can't watch it myself, its a trainwreck.

We all start somewhere. Personally I've really enjoyed watching your progression CM. And only the brave dare put it all out there for the world to see and comment.

I've done sone pretty ugly stuff myself. Most recently with anodization. And a nfew days ago tried my first sets of scales. Not bad, but not good either.

And one of my all time prizes...... 15+ years ago I picked up a gold plating setup. In my efforts to practice and improve, I was determined to pimp daddy everything. I'm pretty sure I've posted my all-time prize here in the past. But.....ok, here goes........ I had just purchased my second Glock (a 26), to meant for EDC CCW. Right over the Tenifer (I think that was coating at the time). And to add insult to injury, I didn't particularly clean the oils off well. Some day I'll dig it out of it's corner of shame, and take some glamour shots. :D. But I didn't stop there. I also did my wife's S&W 3913NL. Both still in the safe to remind me of my shame. :).
