Hey all!

So this might be too far into the topic of fashion, but which knife or knives do you think would fit into the style of a rock musician? Leather jacket, flannel shirt, converse shoes, Ray Ban glasses, etc. Any ideas? Pics are always helpful :)

Is it only for looks that you want it? Many filling stations sell knives inexpensively. Pick something sexy with a black coated blade.

Steven Tyler likes knives I guess.

Blade forums thread on the subject.

Check the Tactilol thread. I guarantee there will be several in there that fit the bill.

I always thought something with bone, wood, or carbon fiber inlay. Something elaborate, yet sturdy and durable. That's just me, though.

I've heard Joe Perry, the lead guitarist of Aerosmith, has some custom Darrel Ralph knives.

Southern Grind Knives is owned by Zac Brown, a country music frontman. Not exactly my type of music, but the Southern Grind Bad Monkey I owned was a great knife.

Of course, there's the Chaves 228 with the badass skull clip.

Also, maybe a damascus large Sebenza.

Can't post pics right now but go to the DPX website and look at all of the variations of the HEST or HEAT folders. Hell of a knife and has underground style. The "Mr DP" edition may just do it for you.

-Spyderco Gayle Bradley (just over budget but Google "spyderco carbon fiber" and look at other models)
-Kershaw Leek (smaller edc with many color options)
-kershaw Tremor (discontinued but you can find em)
-benchmade north fork (top end of budget but available in 2 awesome versions)
Lots of benchmade come to mind. Find a 710

Oh and just thought of a great budget option. Kershaw Cryo blackwash version. 2 sizes (I and II) and avail in tanto or drop point. I think the blackwash blade and stainless scales work well for a rocker. Awesome hinderer design. Assisted blade. Deep carry clip. You can get a large and small and a 3rd tanto and still be under budget. The steel won't stay sharp forever but is so easy to sharpen on just about any stone or rod.

Classic Rock, I'd say Chris Reeve, or the suggestion above Spyder Gail Bradley. Modern Rock, definitely need to go something assisted or auto to appeal the the younger mall ninjas. Pro-tec, Microtec, maybe a ZT 0300, Strider, or fixed blade ZT 0121 just for the cool shape factor.
