Knife in the Hat 2 (read this to participate)

I changed my mind I had a knife all done and ready and the sheath is just about done..
and I said to myself SELF..
(the big E says that you know:) )
I think I want to make one that maybe the guy might want to use,
out doors instead of this one a pretty fancy
personal steak knife :eek:

so I started another one yesterday and just
finished it,,, now the sheath for this one :)
at least now I'll have a sheath for the other one done too.:D

can we post what would have been :D naww :)
 
Will I think I was the one you were/are supposed to send a knife to. If you want in I'll be patient till you get a chance to finish it.

Just got back from 10 days in Orlando with the grandkids. I got my knife finished before I left for Disneyworld. Will ship on Saturday. Matt, good thing you didn't post pictures of my knife. I am anxious enough as is.

Thanks for the confidence. I wasn't gonna post pictures cause I didn't want you to be jealous of what everyone else got :p This is turning out as some of my better work though.
I've got a little bit of finish work left and need to get scans of it, so it will hopefully go in the mail on Monday.

I'll get my lazy ass away from this computer now and back to the sanding block :D

the sheath has a lite pull to it so
if you ever want it tightened up just ship her my way..

it should ship Monday.. I just missed UPS it wasn't boxed yet....:(
 
No they dn't, especially when you add in end of the month and working at a financial company(didn't leave work until after 8 friday, and still have to go back tonight and work late tomorrow. Balancing at the end of every month is getting old. :grumpy: )

But it will be done by the end of the week at the latest J, so won't keep you too long
 
The knife is about done, but after grinding down the scales I found that the micarta bolsters weren't in-line and one is a little higher by about 3/4 a millimeter. Yet there's no gaps -- not sure how I pulled that one off. Anyhoo, working a sheath now. I'll post a pic tomorrow and not sure what to do. I don't want to send off no ugly knife. :(
 
I just got done taking the pictures of my knife I need to send to Dr. Steve. Boy, it sure is tempting to post them now and see what you guys think.
 
Sharpened today. Hopefully will get scans tommorrow and still have time to get it in the mail after school. Definitely will get it on its way on Tuesday at the latest.
 
I think we'll need to have pictures of all of the knives in one place somewhere. Sometime after everybody gets em. I'd like to see all the other knives.

Mine just got done tonight.
 
Man you guys make me feel like a jerk! Got bolsters on mine this weekend, and got the scales prepared. I should be able to get them on in a day or two and make the sheath...

Sounds good Dan. I had posted that I was going to post pics, but forgot that I can't yet. This is getting pretty excited -- I want to see what everyone made.

I'm still debating about ripping off the bolsters and slapping a new set on, but then the knife would be a little late. :confused:
