Hmmm... $2k would've bought another Sasquatch wouldn't it?He almost brought a Sasquatch, but he worried about damaging it. He brought his Comp Chopper that he made.
Everyone I believe, continued with the same knife. They did not tell us what the prize was before we got there and they might have said he couldn't bring the Sasquatch. They might have decided it didn't qualify as a "Custom" knife, but that I don't know. They debated some about my behemoth before allowing it. Changing blades would have also been tough because it was all filmed in about 10 days. I think the final regular was filmed the day before the championship.Hmmm... $2k would've bought another Sasquatch wouldn't it?
Besides, as Nathan stated, both he and Dan tested the steels and heat treat, and designed their big knives specifically to handle rough use.
Should be fun watching his skill on the course though.
I wonder if the episode winners will bring bigger blades for the finale after seeing what the competition entails? Are they allowed to switch from the knife they started with?

If anybody wants to take that weaponized BC back onto the show I think it would like to take another run at it. *shrug*
^seriously
Yes, first is the questionnaire then will be a Skype interview. Good luck!I got an email back from Nicholas! I have a questionnaire I have to fill out and return to him today. I'm about to open it up and fill it out! I don't know ifJo the Machinist had to go through the same steps to get on the show, but my wife and I were actually discussing this last night. What if I DID make it onto the show?

Sounds like a win win. Good luck Jonny!
......
Nice to see a well made sword in the competition.
Production knives are not allowed, but some modifications and voila!Didn’t Jo mention that she had a bit of a hard time with getting the green light on the weaponized BC prior to filming the first episode?
What was the reason again? Not considered custom enough or what? Nathan may have to further weaponize it by Bowie-fying the WBC![]()
Yeah, I recalled the 'no production knives' bit... then someone used a Cold Steel Messer in last night's episode. Apparently, a little engraving = custom enough.Production knives are not allowed, but some modifications and voila!
I don't think they had a huge pool of applicants for this season.Yeah, I recalled the 'no production knives' bit... then someone used a Cold Steel Messer in last night's episode. Apparently, a little engraving = custom enough.![]()
