Knife or Death

Not yet, I have no clue when my episode airs. When tomorrow night's episode comes on, there will be scenes from next week's episode. I'll know then if it's my group or not.

Thanks Jonny, I'll be watching.

Jo, I'm joining your party late. My hat's off to you. I know a lot of women who wouldn't of done what you did. Matter of fact, I've known one personally for quite some time.
Kudos to you and the ol' man. :)

That's why I was wondering if there were different time penalties, because in S2 ep1, they definitely did say that running on the course was a no-no, and accrued a 30-second penalty.

I heard that too but perhaps with 25 seconds apparently being the standard penalty in S2, the commentator (was it Goldberg? IDR!) misspoke with the S1 rules in mind!

Hmm! I could swear that I heard it was 30 secs! I'll have to follow more closely tomorrow eve.

Penalties? 30 seconds isn't a penalty. THIS is a penalty.

Maybe next season.:D

IG shows that they're having onions in the Decapitator for this episode! A row of onions are brutal to cut in one swoosh! Still more than 2 hours to go for the airing, out here in the West.

Saw a couple of scenes in the opener’s preview with Jeannie (MTM) but still no cameos of Jonny.

So far, there's nothing I've seen to change my view that the courses have definitely been biased towards longer blades.

I haven't really seen any obstacles that I would consider to be biased towards a shorter (12" or less) blade.

The biggest 'tell' for me, is the difference in effectiveness vs skill levels.

It's pretty obvious that the majority of the sword wielders don't practice cutting/chopping anything more solid than air, and maybe fruit.

Despite that lack of practice, and with poorer technique, some of them are demolishing some of the obstacles that skilled, veteran choppers need more time on, even with the veteran chopper's better chopping technique and skill.

Based on what I've seen, I'd want something with at least an 18" blade, preferably more in the 20 - 22" blade range, with a handle that can be used both 1 and 2-handed
