- Combo-Edges and serrations in general.
- Asymmetrical grinds. Chisel grinds. Uneven grind patterns on knives, BENCHMADE... Why does my $100+ Mini-Rukus have uneven grinds and yet my sub $50 knives are just fine? Yeah it's ridiculous.
- Bad ergonomics. You kind of have to go out of your way to make a knife have bad ergonomics.
- "Do-it-all" knives. Knives have limitations.
- Ridiculous marketing, over-hyped knives.
- Knife fanboys. You know, those guys that stick to one or two companies and talk down about any knife that isn't produced by their beloved companies.
- Cheap material knives that are priced at ridiculous prices.
- People that praise their knives so much but when they post pics of them they have no wear. Basically people that have safe queens that they say are great knives, but they never use them. I know the difference from keeping a blade maintained and a blade that hasn't been used. Nothing against collectors, but if you don't use your knife then don't brag about it and say how well it performs.
- The constant use of the terms "tactical" or "self-defense" in knife descriptions. Also the idiots that think they could actually kill someone with one or two stabs from their "tactical self-defense" knife. Yes, knives can be used for self-defense, but so can a frying pan or a pencil or even a rock.
- People asking about the strength of folding knives. If you want a strong knife, get a fixed blade! Also people that complain about blade play on folders, there will ALWAYS be blade play on a folding knife. That is unless you tighten the pivot so tight that you can't move the blade. Locking up like a "bank vault" "no movement what-so-ever" "it's a tank" are all just fanboy responses. Again, get a fixed blade if you want an absolute solid knife.
- The paper cutting test. What does this prove? Your knife is sharp at the time being. IDK this "test" is just really pointless and has grown into a peeve.
That's the gist of my peeves, I'm sure there are more.
