Knife sheath survival kit

I have no interest in all the bells and whistles in a tiny kit like that. I focus on keeping it simple and effective. Fero rod, chunks of fatwood, a small pouch of pre-shaved fatwood with cotton, a lighter. This is just an emergency over night back up. If plans or potential for a longer stay, and or in a more remote location, a more thorough kit is brought along. My knife kits are just to get through the night, sterilize water, signal, stay warm etc.

Here's a couple new ones I've made up in the style of River-8

Those River8 sheaths sure are nice...

Here's my fire kit that goes along with the BK4. No survival stuff there, just multiple ways of making fire. Couple of ferro rods, lighter, cotton balls, etc.

Posted this before, but here's my Heavy Heart sheath with attached pouch:

Have since retro-fitted the pouch with a single Fastex buckle instead of the snaps.
The layering of gear has always worked for me (so far *knock*knock*) with stuff in pockets and on belt, then the knife sheath, then an equipment pack/vest of sorts, and finally, if needed a backpack...

Really enjoying all the different ideas!

Cheers,
8

Hey 8, Really interested in getting a sheath made for my ratweiler. Please send me a message on here or via my email Duhon1010@gmail.com.
Been a fan of your work for a while, I remember reading the old articles on the riverside-graphics website years ago which really attracted me to your work.
