That's one and only bear knife which may work
Of course if YOU can handle 1000 pounds of speeding raw power ...

You just have to shoot them from farther away, and give them more time to leak out...

The answer is no knives needed.

If we're talking black bear country, a stick or branch about the thickness of a baseball bat is really all you need. If we're talking about brown bears (grizzly bears) good freakin' luck in that "knife fight"... the bear has 5 knives on each hand plus overwhelming speed and power you simply can't compete with. There isn't any knife you can carry that gives you any realistic hope in a grizzly attack.

How about a knife with a chainsaw blade.
Can you build us one?

I guess I'd have to say that more knife will always be better than less knife.

Some guy in Alaska taking down a kodiak bear with a knife and writing to the knife company in appreciation, who was a lot better at fighting than spelling, was the basis of the Ka-Bar brand name.

Maybe a prayer rug. I like also the Victorinox Classic recommendation... you could poke a hole in your jugular so you didn't remain awake while being eaten.
