Knife you own that has the strongest snap ?

The strongest snap on any of my knives got cured. It was the small blade on a Rough Rider baby toenail. If 10 means you need a knife pick, that thing was around 17. I literally had to use a small prybar to get it open, and God help anything that got in its way when closing. I like a knife with good snap, but that thing was way over the top.
..I had exactly the same problem with the same knife....damn thing even bit me!!....sharp blades those... put valve grinding paste in the joint and worked it a couple of hundred times...that fixed it!!

this little Queen hidden backspring Barlow really surprized me...and still does...I,m veeeery careful where my fingers are when closing it:eek: yes...it has given me a love bite!

this Queen Dan Burke isn't a slouch in the snap department either...

mmmmmmmmhhhhhhh, I dunno Frank. I'd bet there's a lot of "Snap" in these toothy blades.

My Schatt&Morgan file and wire tested Texas Toothpick has ripped my thumbnail many times while opening. It's a good knife, but a real P.I.T.A.opening and closing.-Jim

at the moment my Klein TL-29, particularly the screwdriver blade. It's a nailbreaker, 9 out of 10 pull.

Same for me on my old Klein electrician's knife. I need a screwdriver to open the screwdriver blade. The other blades on it, however, have medium pulls.

I got to the point that I could get it open without an assist, but it has to be dripping with oil. Just needs a little more honest use.

Could you show a pic of the back...I've never heard of a hidden backspring before???

my Tidouete 56 dogleg has quite a snap. Same with my BF moose. I EDC the 56 and have a good technique for opening it. Simply just go with the rad. Some of he guys at work try to open it and can't for some reason.
some nice eye candy in this thread. Especially the Hammer Brand.

That would be:

-the pen blade of my Peanuts
-my Victorinox Alox Solo
-combo tool of my Vic Alox Bantam.

Without a doubt, it's my Vintage Knives Model 1902 Moose! It's a great knife, and it has "loosened up" quite a bit since I bought it several years ago.

Slamming open would be my GEC bullwinkle.

Slamming shut would be my either my Case or Queen mini trappers. I actually took a tiny file and cut a chamfer on the corner of the tang on the Queen so it would open a bit easier. That thing has a shallow nail nick and I have very close cut finger nails... a bad combination to have when the knife is a hard opener, lol.
