Nope. We're still waiting to try these out. JT's got a few pies in the oven, and his equipment in the shop has been spoken for other work projects.

I made a drastic mistake in making the batch of 10. when i made them i center drilled the end then drilled it and then taped it. but then i chamfered the threaded hole to allow positive thread start. so after heat treating and bead blasting i cleaned them up and went to put the screw in them and found that thy did not go in, can i say damn here on this forum. so any way i got out the taps and tried to re-tap. well i taped them all and now have 5 good ones and 4 broken taps in 4 parts. man are thy hard.
Always consider the H limit of the tap on parts that will be hardend & tempered or plated. Hardened steel "grows" or, in the case of your tapped holes, tighten up. My guess is you used an H1 when you should have used an H4 or even H5. On taps under 1" each H limit increases the basic pitch diameter by .005.
Being an experienced machinist you should know better than to try and run a tap into steel @ 61 HRC, c'mon

JT, I need to know "about" when mine might ship. I am # 13 on the list.
I may very well need to change my shipping adress.
I am not in any way trying to rush you..... I just don't want it sent to where I am not anymore........
Thank you,
chuck
