Everyone still planning on attending? You might also add a light jacket or hoodie to your list.
 
I know Andy and John will be there, so it looks like a full group. I'm not only hoping this will be a learning experience, but also a fun weekend.
 
I'm hoping nobody is expecting a fancy high tech shop. If so, I'm afraid you will be sorely disappointed!

I will be there for certain.

I have my hotel reservation, my respirators, I'll put a couple folding chairs in the truck and I'll hit that local grocery store around the corner for some brews for after the grinding is done on day one. (They have a great selection per my memory).

I am excited - should be a fun time!

Will we be using your Mazak plasma cutter and the 5 axis mill, or the bench grinders ? ;P

We will be using my EDM machine for cutting out the blades, and the Mazak (we had those at work) CNC milling center for the rest.
 
Starts at 8am, so between 7:30 and 8. Don't forget a light jacket or hoodie (one you don't mind getting dirty). It might be chilly in the mornings.

I realized I hadn't posted a sketch of my Kephart design. I wanted a little more of a spear point for the blade. With a slightly rounder belly. The spine will be slightly shallow at the midway point as well. Round the finger guard a little for comfort. And a thicker butt end narrowing down to the forend width wise. Need to transfer this to some shoebox cardboard and I'll be ready.

Any critiquing is welcome.[emoji4]

Got the grass cut today, one less thing to do before Saturday. I might even start cleaning the shop tomorrow, knives for the week will be done in the morning, that will just leave setting everything up and grocery shopping on Friday. In case you can't tell, I'm pretty excited about this!
 
Me too!

I will get the grass cut tomorrow or Friday evening - then just put a few things in the truck and head up -

Since it is just me coming up I will probably leave really early so I can help do any last minute setup etc.

By the way, were you able to get the gold leaf and turquoise chunks for the banding around the sub-hilt on my knife? Just checking.
