Hey guys new to the site. I like the set up you guys have here. lots and lots of info. I am new to higher end knives (anything higher than what you can get at wally world lol)...

anyway i ordered an izula package from the above online shop last friday 5th and aside from a confirmation email i have not heard a peep from them. i have emailed them 3-4 times asking for updates and notta. they have not charged my card yet.. anyone else having issues with their communication??

thanks
solo

I haven't dealt with knifesupply but there have been many posts here about them.

General concensus is that they don't stock all items and order product in when you purchase it.

This will delay the delivery a bit, but sounds like everyone gets what they order eventually.

The complaints about communication are pretty universal.

Kevin

PS just a heads up, the mods may move this thread to the good bad and ugly sub forum.

Welcome to BFC. Please take some time to read the sticky at the top of the General forum.

Anyway, I hope you end up enjoying this community and it's cast of characters at least as much as I do.

I moved this thread to a more appropriate sub forum so the discussion the in general forums will be more centered on knife discussion rather than vendors.

will do thanks for the welcome

I used them one time, but emailed before ordering to see if it was in stock. It was, and I got it three days later.

I've ordered from them a couple of times and received my knives without any problems. But, I did contact them first to check on availability.

well he finally emailed me today. 1 full week after purchasing. that is not good customer service imo.. i have heard that they had good customer service esp after purchase. hopefully this is just a 1 time deal.. thanks guys

well i wont be ordering from them. i am lucky to just get an email response. they just lost one repeat customer.

I dont why you are so quick to get pissed. If I order from amazon.com or some other on line retailer I get a confirmation e-mail and then a shipment notification. Thats it. If I e-mail a question its usually 3-5 days for a response. Was there some reason you needed more than your order confirmation e-mail?

I order from them before. E-mailed with the exact item # from their website, asked if it was in stock and when I could expect it to ship. Got an e-mail back about 4 days later confirming stock status and shipment info. Made my order and got my knives in about 10 days shipped to my APO in Iraq. I thought that was acceptable customer service and will order from them again.

I agree. They aren't known for super speedy "I got to have it right now!" service but they are known for steady, standard mail service. I've used them three times and have been satisfied that they got me the knives in about 10 days. There are companies that promise overnight service for items, but this isn't one of them. They are just a good, steady, dependable service. What helped me decide to use them was their prices. They have excellent prices on Entrek knives-just what I was looking for. If you're part of the "I'll wait by my computer while you answer my email" group, go elsewhere. If you want a good knife at a good price delivered in about 10 days, these guys will do it for you.

no i wont order bc they never responded to my emails.. now thats crappy customer service imo.. i may give them a try again down the road. i dont care about how long it takes to ship but atleast give me an email update or something. 1 week with no communication is lacking in the customer service dept

I used to have good experiences with them. Last march I ordered a knife...
same story as above. Nothing. E-mailed - no response. 6 weeks later I got my knife. By the fifth week I ended up ordering another knife from someone else...got it in 3 days. So now I have 2, but thats ok.

A timely response to an e-mail would have saved me some $.

The thing is, when it says they ship Priority Mail, you expect it in a few days like my knife from 2brothers which came in literally 3 days! It's now been two weeks..... sigh....

That only applies after it gets to the post office.

My previous order, from online purchase to delivery was about 7 days. My latest was ordered on 6/17 and I've heard nothing beyond a confirmation email. No charge on my card, no response to voicemail or email and of course no knife.

I gues it'll get here when it gets here?

Well, I got the knife today... sort of. I ordered the pictured, described Zytel handled Mini Pentagon in AUS 6, and received the Kraton-handled one in AUS 8. In other words, I ordered a Japan-made knife and got a Taiwanese-made one.
