Big Trees is a pretty cool spot, used to mtb there all the time. And that is a darn good cider there, isn't it?!


Gonna go out tonight and assault my liver, the liver is evil and deserves to be punished! The boy is having his first sleep over that isn't at Grandma's house, he's staying at my brothers with his cousins! Stuffed my face full of pasta and egg plant for lunch so I should be good for at last a pre-party 6 pack. If you read about me in the news, do me a favor and save the article, lol! :D :cool:

So i think, barring someone's strong opinion against; I'm going to get Ash a Canon eos t3 12.2 MP. Friend said that her current lense won't work on it though which stinks.

Not 100% sure what lens she has currently, but if it is the one we were talking about before, I think the friend might be mistaken. Anyway - it's a great camera. I'm sure she will love it.

^Rat a tat tat !^ Sup,sucka's?! Today is glue sniffin' day. Gluing up some scales and making sheaths. I was thinking of giving laminating some g10 to this thin ti (.032) to see if it will work for a small knife or dashi.
Hey Xander, how do you think plexy (the stuff we found in the dumpster) would work for that?.BTW,how are you feeling today?

Got both kitchen knives glued up. I need to start shaping the scales but I think I'm taking today off. Football!!!

Well the weekend is almost over. Back to the grind, er lathe tomorrow, for about 3 weeks anyway.

Its my Friday!!! Playd with the metal detector in the front yard a bit this morning, found the remnants of a early 1900's cufflink or tie tack! Pretty neat, I think!

Kevin, whe I saw the title to that video, she was the first thing to come to mind, lol! You can fix a volvo, but you can't fix stupid....

Evening everyone.

Playing with some slipjoints today - going to try my hand at pinning new scales on an old barlow. Wish me luck.

Its a bit chilly here this morning. But still a damned fine morning! Trying to decide between caffeine and alcohol at the moment....

Liam, how did the pinning go? Thre are a couple little tricks to it, depending on the handle material being used, but its not rocket surgery!

Not well - I did a lot of staring at it. Pinning on a new folder makes sense to me, but I'm still sussing out how to get in to re-pin on a finished knife without totally disassembling it.
 
Lol, the liners gotta come off. With a barlow, you can probably get away with only unpinning the bac end and pivoting the liners arund the blade pivot pin. The scales are pinned to the liner, pein one end of the pin before inserting the pin through the scales.

If you search the traditional forum on here for "I must be out of my mind" by me I did a wip of this Puma I built...

Yah, I was figuring it had to be something like that. Hoping it would be a bit easier, but it is what it is. Ah well. Man the torpedos, and find me my punch, says I.

I'll look for the WIP, just to confirm what's in my head. Thanks for the direction.
