If you aren't concerned with keeping the original scales, a good way to remove the pins is to file or use a dremel and take the tops down a bit, then punch them through. Start with the middle spring pin so it releases away from the edge.

Evening fellas. Just got the damned christmas tree up and decorated...every year I end up cussing nd cursing at the damned thing. The wife loses interest in actually decorating it after 10 minutes but sits on the couch giving me instructions :-/ I don't even have any egg nog yet. Pics in a bit...

My yearly tree contribution stops at ornaments. Ash 's the one who goes nutsy with tree decorations . Not my thing!

I found me a woman that doesn't give a damn about Christmas decorations ,doesn't even want a tree and is totally cool with the idea that we buy our own Xmas presents ( as in, I like that,I am buying it for myself for xmas) ! She is the best!!!!

Is it possible for your arteries to hurt and you heart cough and wheaze like a fat man running a marathon? Because that's how I feel right about now! On my second glass of egg nog, slowly geting it down. But at just about 200 Calories per half cup (that's 4 oz.) I think I might be upping my cholesterol by the minute! I love the stuff though!

Somebody get me the remote, I'm a beached whale now....

We make our own egg nog. A fifth of rum, pint of bourbon, and an ungodly amount of eggs, sugar and cream... amazing stuff. But yeah, it'll kill you quick.

I'm going to have to wait to work on the slippies... family coming in town means my work area becomes a hosting area. Learning a lot though. I think I might make a dedicated notched chisel to cut pins between the liner and scale. That will come in handy, I think.

lol egg nog is the NARRRRR :) and an ungodly amount brings me to near vomit in my mouth :(&) lol thanks!
 
I can't stand the stuff. I like all the ingredients by them selves but all together noooooooooo thank you. Wait is there clove in egg nog?
 
Yeah, I'm in the party that just can't do eggnog. Every so often I give it another shot, but it never pans out.
 
Its ok guys, not everyone is on such an elevted level as those of us who appreciate the intricate flavors of egg nog, lol!

Its gonna be a cold walk to/from work today! It was 24*F when I got up this morning :eek: Its currently hovering around 40*F right now.

Its 27F here still at 9:51am... might get to 34.. tomorrow colder.. and the east side of the Cascades is 10F at the moment.. -2 overnight.. I'll be there again next week, burrrrrrrrrr.
