STICKERS? OHHHH I want to buy a few. Put me down for a couple patches tooooooooooooooooooo!
Bobby, I like the new sig line.
Rolf, it sounds like you could use a DFK axe. I bet you would like chopping wood a little more. :D Get well sucka!
Have a good one y'all!

There are a few DFK stickers and magnets floating around there... we need more!

T-shirts too, I have a bunch left in random (mostly smaller) sizes. I should put them on sale after inventory.

Rocking sigs all around! you guys rule :emot-yarr:

Kevin- I need a DF knife first, then the axe.
Daniel- We need DFK hoodies, man. asap!!
Hi Gang!
SNOW...

SNOW is right. Good lord it just keeps piling up. This is what I imagine CO looks to Daniel.

DFK stickers, hats, hoodies, patches. DFK waterbottles, dog collars, night lights, trapper keepers. DFK cocktail set, watch, jersey, sled.

Daniel who does your marketing??? lol!

Oooo a trapper keeper would be fresh! What about MC Hammer pants? He live only about 20 minutes from me, I could go ask him for some official licensing info. I might even get DFK trimmed into my flat top fade.

Morning fellas.

I see the next DFK contest; how wild can you get supporting Daniel? Show us your DFK logo in the most obscene manner!

"I shaved DFK into little Billys hair!"

"I branded my cows DFK!"

"I used fire and made a DFK logo in my neighbors lawn!"

Funny, on a photoblog I follow, a couple years ago the author had stickers made and sold them for like $2ea. He then challenged the readers to take pics of it in extreme places. Well one guy just a couple weeks ago posted his at the north pole! I think he may have won. Nothing but bragging rights, but still fun!

I'm gonna get back to work on my UHP laser and get the DFK logo branded on the surface of the moon.

My youngest has diarrhea that comes out in the shape of a big DFK swirl...

X and liam for that matter.. I'm no photopro.. I have had a college course in black and white and did my own processing.. but I don't use film anymore nor care to due to expense and amount of wait for results :)

All my digital cameras are basic PandS (point and shoots)... Panasonic DMC-LX3, Samsung TL350, the gopro3black, and my olympus stylus tough 8010.. I have a really old digital 3x2 only with a nice optical zoom, but I hate square images, and the color on it is horrible.

Sooooo, I'm looking for a nice body that isn't full of a thousand buttons.. I really like the canon flip screen that pops out the side and can rotate. My old canon digi had that and it got used tons.. I also definitely want a real view finder, which most mid to upper lvl cameras seem to have.

Lens I'll talk later, but over 200mm for tele.. I'd like an array of lens, from ultra wide to 300-400mm+. Mostly enjoy macro, wide landscapes, and zoom on wildlife...

Camera bodies.. I'm considering are the Nikon 7100, Canon EOS 7D, Canon EOS 70D.. I don't know what all this talk about FX format vs DX format is.. I assume something along the lines of full frame vs medium format? Does ones format make it so you must buy only certain lens? Meh..

That is all I can type/say for now as kiddos are calling and wife is sick with 2 hours of sleep.. yay. later!

FX vs DX = full frame vs. cropped sensor (usually about 1:1.5). From a lens standpoint, I buy only lenses that are FX compatible to avoid issues. If you buy a DX lens then use it on an FX body (if it will let you) the image circle will vignette. With that said, there are many fine DX only lenses out there, and they can be less money (and smaller size) - so there are always tradeoffs.

Any of the ones you listed are fine cameras. It's very hard to go wrong once you get above the bottom of the barrel bodies. I'd say see if you can handle a few in store, and get a feel for the interfaces. I've used most of them - and they all feel different. Fewer buttons can be good - but it can also mean more time (and menu options to scroll through) if you have to make changes.

Hmmm, you make a good point.. I would rather have buttons and switches then finger through small menu trees...

See if I can get my hands on all 3 or 4 at one store... I tend to really like Canon... Sony I just .. don't know.. and Nikon is great, different color reproduction I've noticed..

Thanks!

I still have my black on black ( so metal!) DFK shirt. I think I will bust it out today!
Sloth, Jeez man, it sounds bad. I hope y'all get better soon!
Rolf, A match set would be the bomb! Raise that bar brother!
Bird is the word!

FBC- I took the DFK frikkie to another plane of existence.. Basically, Ti, because it's light and I don't want much on my person in a different plane.. Also, who knows what the knife laws are there, so, be to be on the safe side, a frikkie.. Also, Ti, non magnetic, and I definitely don't want to mess up any magnetic orbits or any other other worldly issues :)

And it is bad.. I'm becoming sane again due to all the stress... this is bad. very bad! But seriously, yeah, life is full of suck right now.. Just endless. If we had a break between illnesses and house problems.. it wouldn't seem so shite. Our 1yr old though is really going through some tough stuff... and mom/dad (me) are getting very little solid sleep...

BUT life is suffering, and given the options, things aren't so bad. You think you are at a bottom and then the bottom falls out.. that's when you know it's time to FREAK OUT! :)

Daniel- Are you saying I'll have my DFK hoodie soon? :D
Kev- I just pmed Danyull.
Sloth- Try ludes.
:D

6 1/2" of snow, power out for 14 hours.....not as bad as some places but this is the South! We live down here to avoid this crap! Oh yeah, I've got a DFK magnet on my fridge and a t shirt. I need to dig it out of the closet.

Any of the top tier brand cameras will get you more than enough in terms of IQ. I shoot Nikon because it is what I started out on 20+ years ago and all my lenses still work. FX is equal to a 35 mm frame of film, 24x36mm, DX is usually an aps-c sensor and crop factor depends on brand. Nikon is 1.5x, Canon is 1.6x but most around there. Color reproduction changes between models within a brand just as much as it does between brands.

Either way, the body is not the biggest issue, it will be your investment in glass. Those carry on from one to the next. Focal lengths from 28-300 should cover the bases and a teleconverter will double your long lenses for less money.
