Ugh, got a new phone for an early birthday present tonight. WooHoo, got a new phone for an early birthday present tonight! Got the Galaxy S4. I hate reprogramming a new phone, usually takes me 3-4 solid hours. I'm stil working on my old phone now, nice thing about wifi.

Tonight, 10 minutes after I walk in the door, I'm sitting on the couch and hear some kids outside, not unusual, but then a strange thud on the door. The wife says its just the wind, but our front door is massive, 42"x 84" solid wod, it doesn't move in the wind. I get up and open the door, those little punks threw a full paper cup of hot chocolate at my door! I saw them at the corner, grabbed my jacket and took off after them. They disappeared quick though. They got lucky this time. Next time I'm gonna get out the paint ball guns!

This Pineapple Express has moved in fully now, got the winds, the steady rain and I expect it to hit harder over night.

Sloth, you should make a trip down here outta the cold!

Damn kids. Take solace in knowing they'll grow up someday and hate some future generation kid for something along the same lines. Life is a vicious cycle.

It's another glorious day, folks! Waiting for the wife to get back; she went for some groceries. Left me in charge of cleaning the house. Naturally I've already knocked that all out. Now I play the waiting game (Netflix!).

Daniel how's the weather? You start buildin' igloos?
 
Lol! Sounds like a vicious place where hoodlums attack with hot chocolate. If they start throwing starbucks coffee cake you know its just time to move.
I suggest a good dose of 20 ga rocksalt. Its good medicine for those little problems.

...another day working on folders... the tapmatic is working better and more dialed in! I have a framelock at 99% too! I think I now have 5 whole days into the one knife... almost done! It's crazy sharp with perfect lockup and a snappy strong detent! :cool: 7:15 pm, time to chill!

Rolf, you can come stay at Casa de Flatblackcapo until the cold subsides. If you don't mind pitbulls and metal dust. :D Get to choppin' and fix that heat pump (what the hell is a heat pump anyway?)

Rolf, good to hear ! I know when Jen is cold it is in my best interest to make sure she gets cozy ASAP! A cold woman is a unhappy woman!

I just checked the weather forcast for this week; 4-8" on Thursday. I surrender I surrender!

Ash and I are headed out of state for the 14th. Hopefully there's less snow where we go.

Global warming my a$$!! Looks like another storm is on the way. The Prognosticators are saying it's going to go south of me. Got my fingers crossed.
 
Ended up having to buy a new alternator for the car, but at least it's running again. Had a good weekend with the family, despite the cold. Hope everyone is doing great.

Figured it was time. The last bottle from my stash of the original 2011 limited release of Sierra Nevada Hoptimum. I cellared this stuff until 4 weeks ago and brought it up and into the fridge. This stuff has bottle aged wonderfully! The rich molasses, chocolate and oatmeal notes have really come forward, pushing the extreme hop-forward flavor profile back a notch. Worthy of a birthday brew, and a 6K post celebration!
