Pizza and beer!

Called Nikon about the D80 for a repair quote, the very nice girl on the phone I think didn't understand how to proceed without going down her list of trouble shooting. Immediately after I told her I went though all the standard troubleshooting maneuvers she had to read off the exact same list of troubleshooting procedures.

So the rough estimate is $47-$199, lol.

Back to my pizza and beer! Red Stripe and take-n-bake deluxe vegetarian.

I had a cool knife design idea come to me about 230 in the morning last night, fortunately I keep a sketch pad next to the bed! I sure as he'll didn't remember all the details by 630 this morning when I got up. Hope to get a working prototype here soon.

Bobby, will do. Also, you should try the mini KITH this year! Deadline is the weekend after the 4th of july, sign ups will open April 1.

Sounds cool Xander! I can't wait to see it!

Mini KITH - it's cool! join it!

I just tried my Anchor Steam inspired Amber Hybrid Ale... darn good! I have been waiting a while to try it.

Well I don't have time to read the last 10 pages to catch up. Just checking in with all my DFK brethren. Got a new job. They said it would be 4 10 hr days, turns out they've been working 5 12's for months, and it's not even in my profession  Needless to say I'm looking for another job.

Hey IMWILSON! Great to see you here.

That sounds rough on the job, I hope you find a good one soon! 5 twelves is a lot...

Yeah, and it's not machining, so the pay isn't what I'm used to getting. I'll tough it out till something better comes along.

Damn dude, sorry to hear about the job. I mean, paying bills is important but you gotta like it somewhat. Those hours just suck :(

What's this about, Xander? Just make a teeny tiny knife?

-Boby

Wilson! Sucks about the misdirection with your new job. Hang in there, it's always easier to get a job when you got a job. I have a full time position available, you do t have a problem with excessive amounts of sun and warm weather do you? Also playing with bunnies and puppies everyday, it's rough but it's a job!

Daniel, I love Steam Beer, you gotta make it out here to try it right from the brewery!

Bobby, make a little knife then give it away! Of course you get one in exchange. A few I have made...

The last one is me making the stacked leather handle. Daniel owns that one now.

Yo!

The wife is off at her new job, and more than halfway through her shift now. Hope she's doing OK with working at 0200 hours!

That stacked handle fighter is one of my all time favorites... I break it out often and drool! Thanks Xander

New job, cool! Is she baking?

I have heard Anchor Steam at the brewery is the best... one of the reason I made my inspired version. Right now I have that one, the Belgian Golden Strong Ale, an American IPA and an English Brown Ale on the kegerator tap.

Knives! :D

Yep, she's baking now! Breads from a 165 year old mother yeast. San Francisco sour dough, which the climate and natural wild yeasts really do set it apart. The company tried putting a factory/restaurant in Chicago and it didn't work out, the bread tasted different.

That USM3 fighter did come out nice! I really enjoyed making that one and as far as I could control it is to scale in every dimension. 1/5 scale, the only things I didn't do were the grooves in the handle and pins through the pommel/tang. Otherwise it is made just like the original, which is what I took my dimensions from.

Xander I have always been a big fan of the USM3 and lucked out to get that one in the KITH! It is dead on like the original...

Tell Brandi congrats on the job!

I understand on the sourdough, I have started a few yeast cultures from wild yeast here... one for a sour beer which also doubled as a starter for a few years. I should get more going.
