Sloth, That vid was cool! The part where he was using the air hammer /gun to form the nostrils made me laugh.

I'm worked... major day here! The A2 tantos are ready for glue-up tomorrow morning... 12 friction folders are drilled!

Psyched about the progress on the tantos. Glue up refers to adhering the scales?

Today is supposed to top 60 degrees, I can't wait to go for a little urban hike later and get the cabin fever stink off of me.

glue- up adhering the scales... once I'm at this point I feel like I am pretty close on having a knife! I usually spend the day before just working on small details once the knives seem like they are ready... that extra step helps a lot.

I wound up taking everything to a high finish then satin... I got in a new 3m scotchbrite belt and the finish is just killer! I was using a different one and this is the best of about a dozen I have tried.

No blaster so I took the tangs to 40 grit for glue-up, they will glue up nicely that way. I know you guys have been waiting so I figure upgrade to satin instead of a longer wait. :D


Sounds good on the weather! It warmed up early here this year but has gone back to cold in the mornings... I'm hoping for warm daytime weather soon!

Sup all!

Decided to play phone tech. My iPhones power button stopped working, so I disassembled it. The sensor under the button looks like crap, but I lack a replacement. Also, I've somehow screwed up reassembling my phone. Phone: 1, Bobby: 0. Oh well!

Hey DFK gang, just checking in. Once again I don't have the patience to read the last 6 pages to catch up on everyone. Hey Xander, thanks for the offer 6 or 7 pages ago, but I don't think I could tolerate the Cali politicians. Plus I'd miss the Smoky Mountains.
